2017 Recruiting Thread Part 1

Kary Vincent: I have been told that Kary Vincent is expected to take an official to Texas this week which is set to begin tomorrow (Thursday). However, so far I’ve been unable to confirm that with Vincent himself. Either way, it’s hard to imagine Vincent flipping.

Holland says we appear to be completely out of it for Vincent.  No visit

Top national high schooler 100m dash list

Interesting list and locations:

6 of 27 from TX.

None from West of NM, and furthest North is OH and NJ.

I was hoping Herman liked the forward pass.

NTG, I don't think he's saying Heard is incapable as he's most certainly capable. However he didn't do it much and there's concern about his ability to do so now post injury.

Oh, so I wasn't supposed to take his post literally  ;)

IMHO, I think it's possible that having Watson, Norvell, and Wickline as your 3 primary offensive coaches was such a clusterf--k that it was difficult at best to have a QB worth a damn that year.

He's not beating our Buchelle, better athlete not a better QB.

He had as good a season as you could from a true freshman.

I seriously doubt Heard is the starting QB once the season starts.

I guess I should post a video of Swoopes completing a long pass and that would mean he had a good arm too.

Swoopes had a cannon arm. He could throw it a country mile. He just had no touch on his pass whatsoever. Completely raw, even after four years at Texas. Great arms don't necessarily translate to good QBs.

I think Heard being moved back has more to do with Ehlinger than Buechele. With Heard in the ranks, at least you have something to turn to without having to burn a shirt if Buechele goes down to injury.
