Keys for Texas win

the keys to victory to me are

1. Make a huge Special teams play without giving away huge play. Kick or punt return that gives short field/TD or creating turnover or 2.

2. Make Irish DB`s tackle Foreman & Warren early and often. What this will do is test their willingness to tackle those very large RB`s and will eventually open up the passing game with tired and bruised Irish DB`s.

3. Defensively the D-LINE HAS TO MAKE PLAYS.

4. Texas fans have to make DKR a true home field the players need it loud and Texas proud.

This looks to be as good a place as any to post this. I hope no one minds.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR AUSTIN – SUNDAY

Partly cloudy skies, 20% chance of rain.

High Temperature – 93 which should happen around 4 p.m.

Game Time Temperature should be around 91-90 with a heat index of 96-97.

Field temperature will be 5-8 degrees higher.

Humidity, which can be a bear for those who aren't accustomed to it, will be 90% range all day. It will be hot and sticky. The humidity is supposed to dip slightly to 65% before game time, but rises again from that point on through the evening. Still, even 65% is pretty high.

Good it was in the 70's today in South Bend with 50% humidity. The Irish will feel the heat, hopefully from the Horns and the weather.

Just play with energy and emotion Longhorns and remember "Shoot Low" those Irish ride Shetlands!

Anybody going to DKR stadium to do some tailgating BBQ??
Me and a few buddies have a tailgate. We normally have over a 100 people show up. We're doing 5 briskets, 4 pork butts, ribs, sausage, and few other goodies. It's a pretty good time.

I have the lines as the biggest question marks. The DL because of youth and they're going against a good ND OL and the UT OL because of injuries.

For the last five years teams always line of to stop the run against UT and force us to pass. More times than not we couldn't pass well enough. My hope is Buechele can make quick passes to beat the rush which forces defenses to defend both the pass and the run which can only help Warren, Foreman and company.

Interesting primal d, to this day, I remember a pass from Applewhite to McGarity that broke OU.  It was a little pass over the middle, if I remember correctly, and we were backed up, big time.  McGarity took it about 60 yards.  Those db's were never the same that day, and our running backs had a field day.

I just want to win, baby!
