Since it's out there now I can confirm the report of Alabama corner Kendall Sheffield is transferring to Blinn. Five star corner heading back to the Lone Star State.

I would say this commit would help more with Chaisson. Gumbs and Chaisson are pretty similar type players. Crossing my fingers that it does.

I wouldn't mind the Horns making a stop at Blinn this season.  While there they can pick a certain TE and recently added CB for the Spring.

I doubt Texas will have any interest in either player. Sheffield is a track guy playing football. He does not appear to love football or contact. He is not a Strong type player. Texas was never interested in him and for the reasons I listed is why is probably washed out at Bama.

Devo is a non-starter, but I could see them keeping an eye on Sheffield this season to see how he comes along. Have to keep in mind that the depth chart at CB could thin out relatively quickly in 2017 if guys decide to declare.

Strong will never recruit Sheffield to Texas.

All I said was he could be an option depending on how things play out.

i think it's too early to say one way or the other what the staff will do. Again, all I'm saying is he could be an option. He was very highly recruited out of high school and he will again I'm sure as long as he doesn't underwhelm during his stint in Brenham.
