***Texas vs Tech Official Saturday Baseball Thread***

Still too many mental mistakes in the field, but Texas has been swinging the bats well for several weeks now. Looks like the youngins are progressing. 5/9 or 6/9 starters are underclassmen. Good to see that some of these guys seem to be developing.

It's gonna suck for Augie if he's gone because the next coach will have some weapons.

Despite the record this roster has a ton of upside.

Kingham with a very solid performance.  Gurwitz and Mathis with some clutch hits and McKenzie with some really good D at 2B.

Take it.  Got a chance to sneak out of Lubbock with a series win tomorrow.  TT using Harpenau today probably nixes him as their starter tomorrow.

Thanks bunches joeywa. As usual you are the man. It's just a shame those Canadian squirrels got your power. You should call a mountie or something

Thanks Joey
Of course Bear.  It was a bit challenging as the power went out in our neighborhood in the 8th.  Made doing the PBP a bit of a scramble, but we persevered!  See ya tomorrow.

To heck with Dudley Do-Right.  I'm calling Snidley Whiplash for my squirrel problem.  :)

well yeah. If Kate Upton drops the restraining order, I'm gonna have a great time. And a cardiac arrest.
Kate just whispered in my ear here on my couch, as we're watching Eddie Murphy Raw, and she says the restraining order will not be dropped anytime soon.  Sorry man, I tried to tell her you were a really good dude.

I'm watching Patton. Maybe that's my problem.

On a serious note, who does TT have left as a starter?

They've used Martin, Gingery, Moseley and Harpenau (Combined 25 starts) as well as Dugger (2.0 IP,) Patterson (1.1 IP,) and Mushinski (0.2 IP,) so far this weekend.

Damron (9 starts this season,) pitched 4.0 on Wednesday, and Lanning (7 starts this season,) pitched 5.0 on Tuesday.
The above pitchers account for 41 starts out of their 42 games.

So who will we see tomorrow? Will we see Harpenau (5.34 ERA) start or Shetter (1 start, 2.92 ERA)?  Do they bring back Lanning (6.29 ERA) on 5 days rest, their Tuesday starter?  Tadlock appears to be in a tough spot.

They have plenty of relievers, but as far as starters, they've burned almost all of them.

Take it. Got a chance to sneak out of Lubbock with a series win tomorrow.
