If we're gonna win the league we have to sweep. Two of three would still leave us 3 behind with 9 to play.

So yes, halfway thru conference play we're in the dreaded must-sweep position.

Hope springs eternal.

 
I'd prefer a sweep, but I'll take 2/3. 

Tech is playing hotter than fish grease right now, having won 14 of their last 16, including a 10-game streak which ended on Wednesday at UNM.  A series win over them would be absolutely huge.
