I saw something that showed Jordan Elliott ran a laser-timed  4.86 - 40 at over 300lbs last year

Not bad at all

Bobby Burton thinks we have a real shot with Hudson.
Its comical how we all rip each other about our thought prognostication sources ( guesses ) but take these CB guys and experts as gospel - outside of pretty obvious silent commits these guys are FOS as the rest of us for the most part. Trying to decipher what a 17 is thinking based on twitter follows or edits or whatever the hell else these kids are doing these days is sheer speculation - makes for good reading but im ready for pen to hit paper already ðŸ˜

True. The thing with the CBs is you can recognize trends. When like 5 to 10 guys start CBing someone to the same school, you probably know something is up.

Nobody is infallible though because recruiting shifts so much.

Per Hamm in a chat

A lot of negative recruiting going on. I'll say this, what really changed with Cuffee was when someone showed him the video that surfaced of Sumlin intoxicated. It didn't sit well with the family and Texas was able to capitalize on that when he got to campus for an official. That's just one example of many things that went completely wrong.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, it's not that guys like Jeff McCulloch and Brandon Jones don't want to play for Chief. They love him. It's on the head-man. It should be glaringly obvious at this point, and I even provided an example about Cuffee, that these kids are having serious concerns about playing for Sumlin. It was a perfect storm for Texas. Between the video, losing Kyle and Kyler, kids decommitting etc. Strong and his staff were able to work their asses off in December on the trail because that's all they could do when you're not in a bowl game. I actually think the assistants have worked hard here down the stretch. I just think the damage had been done and all those kids have bought into this "Believe" mantra in Austin.

Seems like our targets would tell the coaches up front if they were concerened about a logjam.  That way the coaches would be able to decide who's in and who should start looking!

BIG update from LSU247 on Erick Fowler and D'Andre Christmas-Giles
I can tell you this: Bradley Dale Peveto has been working his phone non-stop on Erick Fowler. I spoke with someone in his family who told me Peveto “has been amazing†through Fowler’s recruitment and “has been very honest the whole wayâ€. That family has really grown to trust him, and then they fell in love with Dave Aranda on the in-home and official visits. They really feel he can take Erick’s game to the next level. And from talking to a family member, playing at LSU is Erick’s dream. And right now they are telling him to live out that dream. And it’s not just pressure from his mom or family to stay home. I’m told what weighs on him equally is all the kids at school begging him to flip, the people in the community constantly hounding him, etc. Members of his family, and of course the LSU staff, are telling him to just be strong and follow what he wants. I’m moving above 50-50 and say LSU is probably ahead here 60-40 with 24 hours left. I should know more on things later today.

I expect D’Andre Christmas-Giles
to land with Texas on Wednesday. He will have LSU and TCU hats on the table, but I think it’s the Longhorns. I have been told they already have a silent commitment from the St. Augustine product.

I doubt anyone takes CBs as gospel.  Not a single one of them is 100%

Everyone knows this

Still, its a way to fill up time, pass along info

And some are actually interesting

Let me give you one good example -- the moderators for a rival who is actively competing with us for a specific recruit (ex - LSU/DCG or aggy/Jones) -- when those guys flip their CBs to Texas, it becomes a pretty good signal (of surrender).  I like those

Looking at Brainiacs --

They think we get everyone (except Porter, PHud and Anderson)
Told u yesterday thats what cigar types at atm are saying -no jackson phud anderson and 1 other possible guy choosing elsewhere and the rest UT bound - and i know the "source" is weird but its amazing how badly atm perserverates on all thing UT ðŸ˜

Apparently we showed them details presentations, with film, of how they will be used, and where
