Is it coincidence?  doesnt feel like coincidence, but maybe it is just random?  Noon seems like a good time for a school to do something like this (more kids to share it with them over lunchtime)

Maybe his end game is the LHN merged into a B12 network?  Just a guess.

Texas would lose money but I think this is a good idea if Texas wants to stay in the Big 12 for the long haul.

The pacific time zone is definitely an obstacle but wouldn't be so bad if we had some other Big 12 schools come with us.

That is a fair point.  I am an Astros fan and ever since they were forced to move to the AL West, there are more West Coast games, and the times for those things are killer.  I hate late games

But the schools in Pac12 are generally a much better match academically, and the cities for road games are tons better/more fun.
