Longhorn Baseball Prospect Camp

Had the pleasure of being out at UFCU Disch Falk Field for the last two days. Had the opportunity to sit and watched Skip Johnson teach his class. That was hard for me to sit and listen as I am restricted to not shoot any videos.. I digress.. Skip can flat out teach and teach he does and the pitchers are all eyes and ears on him.

One of the top prospect in the class of 2019 is the son to a Former Cowboy, Darren Woodson. His son Jaden can flat out play, very nice stroke from the right side. Well earlier tonight he picked up his 1st official offer from the Coaching staff. Woodson plays out at Jesuit High School and also plays for the Dallas Tigers during the summer.

I've pitched against Jaden. He's the best player I've ever seen at his age. He's the fastest kid I've ever seen too. We played him a couple times and each time he hit at least two home runs.

If you want to see a pitch on the outer half squared up and driven I guarantee that one was Don, amazing shot.

Wouldn't have done much good to make the trek; kid is still rehabbing the knee.  Good news is, he was just released to jog.  A day at a time.
