Kind of surprised here. This has everything to do with the uncertainty around Strong. If recruits knew Strong had at least two more years, they'd go play for the coach they want to play for.

Well he has three more years on his contract.

Taking off the orange glasses for a second or two, if I were him, I may have done same

They have a large, good line

And their depth chart at RB is thinner than ours

He could be starting for them at some point next season -- he is well-built, already has the body for college

Doesn't mean anything. Just means he'll get paid if we cut him loose. Whaley straight up said that the only thing pushing him away from Texas was not knowing if Strong would still be there after this year.

Is Whaley still OVing to Texas though?
Yes, we still have a shot

Although it is unclear how hard we will pursue it.  We will see on that front

For me, I like Darius Anderson better anyway, so i hope he sees the crack in the door.

Home-run threat.  Can catch the ball.  Shades of Romance?

I disagree. A three-year contract does mean something. And it's up to strong to convince him he's going to produce in a way that that he will continue to be our coach.

This kid reminds me of Jamal Charles...

I would love to take this kid, dont know if we have a serious need this class though.

I agree with Juan on this one. He will see the field in Fayetteville next season in a big way. Both RBs from this year are gone, and Raleigh Williams may never play again. He's making a wise choice IMO.

Not to mention the academics are less of a concern

LOL

Yeah. Coaches NEVER get fired when they're still under contract. Never happens. Solid logic.

That's fine. Let him go. People need to let it go and stop talking to him.

Like I've said, get any three of Taylor, Giles, Chavis, Daniels, Williams to go along with Wilbon and be done. Go all in for Marvin Wilson next year. I think Andrew Fitzgerald and Roach are going to be studs on the edge.
