What position is Darius Anderson?
RB from George Ranch, decommitted from Missouri today.

It's confusing, as there is a DT from Missouri City Hightower, also named Darius Anderson, whom Texas is also pursuing.

Do we have a shot?

To date, we have been after Whaley and Porter

I think we are targeting two RBs max.  Possibly even only one

Anderson was terrific in the state playoffs -- killed it

He says we offered pre-Misouri, but I dont know if this was a "fully committable" one

He likes us but let's see if he visits (I looked and he has no visits listed yet)

FWIW, he did fav that tweet by Malik about needing "savages"

Some chatter that McCulloch will decide tonight whether he will announce at the UA Game or NSD

The source is aggy (via Holland) and they apparently think their chances ares fading with McCulloch

aggies now saying McCulloch will not be announcing at the UA Game

The Shark has not yet taken OVs to either aggy or Texas.

So, if this is true, then it probably favors us.  Gives him a chance to OV to Austin

ND 247 guys seem to agree with perspective.  ND looks like the main compt at this point (aggy dropped to 3rd)

Hammy thinks he has made a decision already (but he is wrong alot)

Nahlin thinks he is ours either way.  But Holland thinks ND

There is a theory that goes something like this --

McCulloch is close with DJax.  If we land DJax, this will be the final push to Texas McCulloch is waiting on.

If they both commit then some more of the Houston-areas guys would commit as well.

And if that group committed in bulk, it would be enough to reel Elliott back in.

But, its just a theory

ps - 247 says it is "looking a lot better" with DJax and McCulloch than it did this time last month.

They think 50% chance Texas gets both

Darius Anderson's new top 5: UH, UT, Misery, Cal, Utah
UH is now the clubhouse fav
Could change if we offer

Sounds like aggy-commit Mark Jackson (Cibolo) may have also set an OV to Texas

Probably for Jan 16 weekend, although not fully confirmed (that is going to be a big weekend)

He will be playing in the US Army AA Bowl Game
Jackson has been talking to us, ou and Baylor.  He says he met Bedford as a freshmen -- “I met him my freshman year so our connection is pretty close.  We’ve just talked about how I would fit into the scheme, how it [Texas] would fit me as a student with their excellent business school, and how I’d be playing the FOX position in his defense.â€

But his interest in Texas so far is only "moderate."  -- "I just don’t know if it’s the fit for me.  You always get those feelings when you walk on to a campus – when you get into that environment that fits you. I didn’t have such a great fuzzy feeling when I stepped on campus."

He did confirm he is taking an OV to Austin Jan 15 -- "So I’ll try it out one more time, and we’ll see what happens after that.â€

247 says that, as of today, we have 23 spots.

They also say they dont think some of the WRs on campus now are great fits for what Gilbert wants to do.  So perhaps this is where more spots could open for the 2016 class?   247 thinks the WR starters next seasons will be Burt and Johnson
