Talked with Christmas-Giles again yesterday and nothing new with him.  He will release his list of top schools on January 1.  Texas will be on that list, as will LSU he tells me.

Good news, also perhaps a good time to point out Giles was not actually born in Louisiana but moved there later.

Still, we are going to be going down to the wire on several of these NSD decisions (like Giles), which probably will make or break the 2016 class for us.

If things fall right, we will be fine.

But if they dont, not so good.

Anyone else hate the dead period?
The UA Game is early January.  Higs has hinted (alot) that we should have some good news from the announcements made at that game.

This occurs before the end of the dead period (which is midnight Jan 13, I think)

So, if Higs is correct, then we could have some good momentum coming out of the dead period and on into NSD (Feb 3).

Giles was born in Wisconsin but moved to Louisiana when he was 3 years old. He has the purple and gold ingrained.....

I think Texas has a good shot.

Higs might be an insider but I doubt that sevsn players transfer to reach the 27 he predicts.

If that many do leave I hope the majority are WRS.

The most needed positions are OL, DT, LB and safety take nine spaces here and look at RB and TE if more spaces are left.

Higs is not an insider. He works for SCOUT as a recruiting analyst. Unless you are just calling what info he provides as insider info.

The last 3 CBs for Brandon Jones have all been Texas

And they are the first since the summer (before these last 3, CBs were heavily aggy)

Would be huge get for us

He OVs us Jan 15

OVs Auburn Jan 29

And supposedly Ark one of the other weekends

Incorrect. Higs portrays himself as an insider and does so every time he refers to his "sources." You're a member there and you've seen him say that many times.

Higs contact(s) are on staff.

Every insider I've ever heard of worked for somebody. Not sure why mentioning SCOUT was thought to clear anything up.

We're playing semantics. I consider an insider someone who is just a poster on a board who has access to info within a program. I consider Higs an employee of SCOUT who has sources within the program.

Yes, semantics. So why the incessant need to over correct everyone all the time? No answer needed.
