Its time to fire Strong

Probably all true but if Saban really wanted to be here he would be here.(If Texas really wanted him)
All I can tell you is that my source was right from the time the rumors first started. Said Saban was NOT coming and my source never wavered despite everything I kept telling them I was reading. So instead of being right until they were wrong, as most insiders are, my source was always right.

I like Herman as well and have known him for years, but I'd like to see him accomplish some goals as a head coach before getting a big job...I would absolutely hate to see him fail.
Exactly.  Texas doesn't normally like to take a flyer on a coach with little skins on the wall.  DKR was one that comes to mind, but there hasn't been many.

Didn't want the thread to die so here's something I saw on OB's  :)

Poster said a friend in his office has a friend in the South Carolina AD office and they were exchanging texts about Will Muschamp. Said his friend in the AD's office shot it down and just said "Tom Herman or Charlie Strong."

Well, based on what I was just told by someone who would know, it looks like Charlie will be gone by end of season. A small faction was ready to do it even after OU. Now, it's standing room only in this faction. In their collective opinion, there is too much at stake to continue on (brand, recruiting, etc).

It's a $15 mil buyout and no one is blinking. Plus, the new coach's salary. No one is blinking.

I was told that whatever new coach they get will know well how to compete with the Big 12 offenses. It sounded as if someone is already in mind. Or two.

For me, I call Hermann right now.

Just checking in... Any updates?

I think they've backed off the ledge now. I figure Strong gets another year, minimum.

I don't think a contract extension on the heels of 5-7 has the optics Texas wants.

Guys wanting Strong out. You're going to see him on the sideline for 2 more years at the minimum.

Hopefully i dont go into liver failure sometime in the next two years then. The last 5 years have been brutal.

I've noticed that you dont say much, but when you do speak its as if you're looking into a crystal ball my friend..lol

Some article from Rivals or Bleacher Report? I don't know how credible that is.

Don't count on it if UT doesn't have a winning season next year.
