Blow for Texas but I'm not sure it's over.  We've alluded to it multiple times but Elliott did give the Texas staff a silent commitment at the UTL camp.  This should be more of a reminder that silent commitments are worthless.  Texas will no doubt stay on him.

Most of the alumni that haven't already decommitted are ready to decommit. How is it a surprise that high school kids have no interest in committing.

4-8 after 6-7 doesn't appeal to a recruit with options.

We are a long way from seeing this turned around. A long, long way.

I've been here since before you signed up. I'm not always negative, I'm just honest.

What Charlie Strong has delivered is nothing any recruit with options wants anything to do with. Coach Strong is clueless as to the offensive side of the game and incompetent as to special teams. As a DC, Vance Bedford is destined to mid-major assistant mediocrity after the current mess gets cleaned up.

This is the lowest period of UT football history in terms of consecutive season futility, blowout losses and on-field ineptitude. How anyone can delude themselves to find any positive in the current program is beyond me.

We suck and we aren't getting better any time soon.

Based on the note included in his commitment tweet, Strong and his staff received heavy consideration from Elliott. However, he also noted that this will be his final decision after previously committing to and decommitting from the Baylor Bears and Houston Cougars in 2015. So the burnt orange faithful probably shouldn't hold out hope that the 6'4, 305-pounder will change his mind once again.

That's nice but BON don't really cover recruiting.  I've said all year this one isn't done until the ink is dry.  His history shows that.

I guess we will see but wasnt Whaley considered to be a lock after Curtis according to your source?

It's either the crappy team play or the rumors around Strong leaving.  I can only imagine its going to get worse after Baylor.

Perrin will be announced as the AD moving forward. He will retain Charlie Strong. We will suck next year because Charlie Strong doesn't have what it takes and after a third losing season in a row we will be looking for a new head coach this time next year. No recruit with options, understandably so, wants to trust his future to Charlie Strong. While he is a good person, Charlie Strong sucks as a head coach.

We will suck next year because Charlie Strong doesn't have what it takes and after a third losing season in a row we will be looking for a new head coach this time next year. No recruit with options, understandably so, wants to trust his future to Charlie Strong. While he is a good person, Charlie Strong sucks as a head coach.

Losing 2 recruits doesnt say much but losing 2 recruits that were silent commits or considered locks does.

If Strong wants to leave he just needs to do so and spare us the lingering carnage.  Right now I want to punch Mack Brown, kick Petterson in the ass, and buy Strong and Staff a ticket to Miami and beg Herman to bring Ed Oliver with him.
