The line on the Texas - Rice game was released today and the Longhorns open as 15 point favorites at home against the Owls.

Rice probably wants this game more than UT. I see trouble this weekend big time. I can't believe that I'm thinking this way, but getting embarrassed on the field regularly will do that.

It's not the first time we've been embarrassed. We've endured worse and made it through it.

2000 Oklahoma 63 Texas 14

2003 Oklahoma 65 Texas 13

2011 Oklahoma 55 Texas 17

2012 Oklahoma 63 Texas 21

We've seen worse.

I'm not going to be that low on the team. I think Texas could cover that spread. I just also know there is a realistic chance they won't. Our team better not assume this is a warmup for Cal because Rice will be gunning for a very beatable Texas team this weekend.

Most probably won't agree with this, but I honestly feel Texas wins its next three games heading into TCU. Heard will be the starting QB and the offense will be rejuvenated (even with Watson at the controls). Kris Boyd will be starting at the other CB spot and Bonney will move to S (Haines as backup) with D. Davis at the nickel position. I don't know when those other will happen, but they will happen before TCU. Boyd will get burned by Cal once or twice, but he will cause a fumble and have one pick as well. Just my prediction. I wasn't far off my ND prediction of 31-10.

I don't think it's impossible for Texas to win it's next three. Cal is an obvious threat. The jury isn't out on this team. It just doesn't look good. Doesn't look good at all. Drastic changes need to be made to get us on the right foot. Starting Heard is an obvious step in the right direction.

I'm talking about almost weekly curb stompings.
