I've always been an advocate of turning down the TV sound and listening to the radio for Texas games when I lived close enough for live radio.  I was shocked when Patterson chose Bob Cole's group of low voltage stations to broadcast UT games.

I enjoy Cole and listen to KOKE when I get close enough to Austin to pickup his station on the morning drive in.  But I live out on Lake Travis and none of Cole's station's are available at night.

My wife and I made the jump from flip phones to fricking iphones last month.  As Mack would say," these iphones scare me to death" regarding potential costs.  It's my understanding if I'm at the house with the wifi lit up, I can use the '104.9 The Horn" app to listen to Craig Way (Gosh, I think he is still there) to listen to Texas Football while I watch on mindless TV.

Would someone please confirm?

Yes sir, or you might need to download the Tune in Radio App and search for the Texas sports radio network on there. That's how I've listened to baseball games for a very long time.

I'm in Michigan and listen to the horn through the app on my iPhone everyday. From what I understand all of the games will be streamed through the app, only question is, will it be too far behind the TV broadcast to sync up. In other words, you watch the play on TV, then hear them call the play 3-5 seconds later. Good luck & Hook 'em!

Which app are you using? I cannot find 104.9 the horn in my App Store.

The "app store" didn't have the 104.9 The Horn app.  I had to log onto the 104.9 site with the damn iphone, took a little clicking around to figure out where the "app" was but I somehow got it downloaded.

TXHorn 99, no doubt it's difficult to sync radio broadcast with live TV action.  Depends on the tv broadcaster, sometimes the tv signal is ahead of the radio broadcast so you can slow the DVR.  Basketball is pretty much a loss cause if the game is on an ESPN channel.

I usually attend 1-2 games at DKR plus TX/ou.  The radio sync'd up ok when listening to KVET 98.1 or their  in Cotton Bowl broadcast but that's gone now, no idea if Coles live radio will sync up with live action in DRK/Cotton Bowl.

Thanks all for replies but I'm still scared to death about my new toy.
