Strong said he doesn't plan to Release Lampkin..How does this work of he is supposedly enrolled at OU?

Can anybody shed some light on how this works?

Today continued a 2-week trend of coaches & players building up Swoopes & how different he is. It was more of the same today - A LOT MORE.

Setting expectations is risky in CFB. The whole burnt orange world is gonna be focused on one thing in South Bend.

This is great to hear. I've always felt this whole situation was a setup, but Lampkin was too dumb to execute it correctly. First, he was going to decommit at the last moment to sign with Oklahoma. Second, once the coach from OU was hired and told UT (and rumors swirled in the media) of the plan, he put it on hold because it wouldn't have the big splash he wanted. Lastly, he figured he could just not get accepted at UT by not doing his work. I don't think he was lazy, I think it was a setup the whole time. He got bad advice from the OU coaches and now he has to pay the consequences for a prank that went wrong. I guess he figured Charlie would just release him and be done with it. You mess with the bull you get the Longhorns. I applaud Charlie for standing his ground on this one.

It's my understanding that Lampkin can attend whatever college he desires, but he can't play football on scholarship for that university. I'm not sure how the rules apply if he was a non-scholarship player. Football scholarship and being enrolled in a university are different. That's the way I see it.
