"..... We spoke to a source recently who gave us the strong impression that Texas is sitting in a very good spot with the talented linebacker. In fact, the source went as far as to say that if a decision was made today, Texas would be the choice.
I asked McCulloch about where things stand as far a committment timeline and he said that he hopes to announce his decision at some point during this season. He said that he will be sitting down to discuss things with his parents in the very near future and they will release an announcement date.
McCulloch also said that he may visit Texas and Texas A&M in the next week or so for fall camp. It’s safe to assume that Texas and Texas A&M are at or near the top of his list considering the numerous times he’s visited both campuses. But the reason I suspect Texas is in the driver’s seat here is because as McCulloch put it he’s “comfortable with everything†in Austin – the coaches, the city, the program, etc.
If Texas is able to bring McCulloch on board with a mid-season commitment that could really helps their chances at landing Alief Elsik LB Dontavious Jackson. Jackson and McCulloch are close friends."

Charlie Strong tells USA Today that he needs one more good recruiting class at Texas and then “it’ll really be on."
I always get a kick out of Strong. He's not afraid to tell you the current the roster is pretty crappy and he needs a few of his own guys.

I had a feeling something was up with Gentry playing QB at Michigan. I would hear the other QB names but not his. Reminds me when Strong moved Zeke Pike to TE after he transferred over from auburn as a QB

My thoughts exactly. Michigan must be in bad shape at TE. I was happy we ended up with Locksley once we switched our offense because I felt Kai would fit it better. Now with the good reports on Locksley and Michigan switching Gentry to TE which may or may not be temporary, I glad the way it worked out.
UT TE commit Peyton Aucoin says he is working on h/s teammate Irvin Smith (current aggy commit) to visit.
