ok, as i understand it this weekend's series against BU is meaningless except for seeding. we're in the conference tourney regardless, right? if that's not right, someone let me know.

so we've got this scheduling quirk having to play 2 in waco sunday and then beginning the conference tourney on Wednesday, potentially as early as 9am.

Since we HAVE to win the conf tourney, why burn any frontline pitchers this weekend other than maybe a few innings to knock the rust off?

Excellent question street. I'd say we see a LOT of committee pitching this weekend in Waco. I don't see guys like French and Mayes getting a lot of work this weekend.

The top 8 of 9 teams qualify for the Big12 tourney, so yeah we're in. My guess is we'll have to win it to qualify for the NCAAs.

yeah, i mean French HAS to start game one Wednesday, doesn't he? Fifty pitches or so on Saturday and put him back on the bus to Austin.

Nothing more than a 50 or 60 pitch live bullpen. I throw french in game 2 or what ever our first elimination game is. I probably throw Clemens game 1

If KU and KSU don't get swept and we do then we are out of the Big 12 tourney. KU,KSU, and Baylor would all have more wins and less losses than us.
