HS 2016 Texas Top 50 Rankings - Newly Revised

The revised HornSports Top 50 for 2016 rankings have been updated.  Several new names can be found on the list and notably Allen OL & Texas A&M commit Greg Little moves to #2 (he held the #1 slot since the initial release of the 2016 rankings).

1. Strange year when the highest QB is No. 23 and three Safety prospects ranked above him.

2. Still hard for me to believe that Kaden Smith pulled the trigger on Stanford this early.

3. How about Texas State pulling a Top 50 prospect?

I like the Brandon Jones move to #1. Dude is downright deadly in the secondary. The Texas coaches are VERY HIGH on him.

People will say Greg Little but I believe Jones has the most potential to turn into an absolute superstar while Little might be the safest bet.

Good list, I think Martin from PA is rated to high... I like Trey and Boyd much better.

I'm still not sure of him as a traditional running back, and I think I have him lower than a few people but he's just got that game changing speed. I'm interested to see more of him. We will do 2 more updates at least by signing day.

Still amazes me the the #1 QB in the state is only #23 on the list.

Might I make a suggestion. . .since we are TEXAS fans.

Another column to identify players that are a TEXAS target and a 2nd column with your "Chrystal ball" prediction of whether you think we land them.

I think Buechele has the talent to go into the top 15 but I need to see more. Luckily I live about 10 minutes from his school so will see lots of him.

I will see what I can do about the crystal ball idea but it's early and as we saw last year Charlie will make his noise late.
