Well, I'm prejudiced, at least when it comes to The University and Austin, but I can't imagine a sweeter spot to coach. The article said Bama was ready to offer 3 million. I think we've already proven that our pockets are just as deep. With the investment we are making in the new facility, Texas would be foolish not to pull out the stops to ink the guy we think can get the job done.
Our coaches, when successful, should be paid well, and that includes our highly successful Swimming and Diving coach, Women's basketball coach, and Volleyball coach.
While I'm ranting, did anyone note the irony of Kearney's departure and recent success for Track and Field?
