The thing I see with Clemens at 1B compared to Tres and Cantu is how much difference game experience makes.  Tres and Cantu are both still learning 1B.  Clemens had all season to work on it last year.  Not that Tres and Cantu are bad options over there, but Clemens really clamps down the IF.

A smooth fielding first baseman is more important than what most people give credit. I've always felt it was as big a deal as the short stop to be honest.
