[Matt Cotcher]

From UT:

The Texas baseball team's game vs. Kansas State scheduled for Friday night has been postponed due to widespread rain expected in the region throughout the day.

A decision on the schedule for the remainder of the weekend has not been made. Officials will continue to monitor the conditions and forecast, and further changes to the schedule will be announced on TexasSports.com

afraid of that. supposed to be just as bad tomorrow. maybe they can squeeze in two Sunday. losing home games against a conference bottom feeder sucks.

Well shit what am I supposed to do tonight without Joeywa's play by play, Slim's bragging on the magic of the hat, street's sarcasm, and others chicken little shitting on the program. I guess I could hang out with my wife and kids but what fun is that

Is it even raining in Austin? Just kind of a sporadic drizzle in Kendall county

It rained most of the afternoon. It stopped around 6:00, but the next wave is supposed to roll in overnight. They're calling for flash floods.

Guys, relax.  Truth be told, I'm behind this schedule change.

I had notified Matt yesterday that I wouldn't be available for PBP on FR night, as I was planning on being on the golf course in Palm Springs this afternoon at the conclusion of my conference.  With my flight back to Portland not getting me home in time for the scheduled 2 PM first pitch on Saturday, the responsibility of PBP on Saturday would again fall to Matt.

Upon further contemplation late last night, I decided it would just be best if I called in a favor from none other than Mother Nature herself.   I explained my plight, and also hinted that a few days of good soaking rain would do the Hill Country good.  She agreed and hence the rainout.

So there you have it, I got my golf game in, we got a rainout and a late start for Saturday, and your's truly will be at the helm tomorrow.

Hook Em!
