SignUp Now!yep. the stretch from 02-08 was as good as anybody in the country, but the last 7 years just haven't cut it.I love what Barnes has done for this program. 1 final 4, 2 elite 8s, 2 sweet 16s, tournament 16/17 years. But it's time for a change. It's just stale right now and there needs to be a change.
Barnes should be fired before he has a chance to retire. Barnes has shown the BB world how to lose...again, and again, and again,..........Barnes will resign - book it.
Every time I've seen a list of possible replacements for Barnes it usually includes Smart and Buzz Williams. If we do replace Barnes, I don't care who it is and long it's the best possible coach we can get.Why all this infatuation for Shaka Smart? It's a reach he's even interviewed for the job.
Offensively, I would tend to agree with you. He's got a lot of things to work on. I think he is GREAT defensively and on the boards though, but needs to work on offensive skills and strength on the block.Turner may develop into a great player, but he sucks right now compared to most big men in the country. Appears soft and is not consistent.
I've seen it, too and I've been impressed with him but I don't see the fit. I don't think he's a "big school" guy.Every time I've seen a list of possible replacements for Barnes it usually includes Smart and Buzz Williams. Who would like Patterson to consider for the possible coaching position?I've seen it, too and I've been impressed with him but I don't see the fit. I don't think he's a "big school" guy.
Oh well, there's a reason I'm not on Patterson's list of people to discuss this with. What do I know?
