After watching Kyle's prep career end on the diamond at Dell Diamond. His next step to me was to take over the roll of the closing responsibility at the University of Texas. Info was relayed to me that I was crazy for even thinking about Kyle as the closer at the University of Texas. All I did was laugh at them as it was obvious that they had not taken the time to get to know the young man.

Now those people were beginning to take notice last fall when he hit 94 on the gun.. But, that was not the 1st time...

Then all of sudden this weekend, they are saying that his stuff is electric and he has the mentality..

Can't wait to see this kid on the hill in person. When I heard he threw 94-96 with control i thought Texas had another great closer in the making. Now if we can have our starters keep us in the game and our bats to get us a lead, we will be in business. Haven't had a sure-fire closer in a couple of years. This kid may be one.

Confidence? Didn't seem like he lacked that in B10 against Rice. Ha.

That kid has "IT". You can look in his eyes and tell. I tell my pupils, "Its all about body language and showing confidence on the hill......Then bring it. "

i hope this is the case, he's pitched 2/3 of an inning. i need to learn more about determining who has 'it' and who doesn't based on such a small sample.
