Traylor to Texas!

We are hearing positive signs regarding Traylor's potential hiring at Texas but have not confirmed with him yet.  We will keep you guys posted when we hear something.

Hearing it from several people, but obviously all un-confirmed.

Very solid hire in my opinion.

Interesting twitter factoid about Coach Traylor - he recently started following Coach Sumlin, but Traylor does not follow Coach Strong on twitter.  I smell subterfuge.

He does follow Coach Strong on Twitter. He started following Strong long before Sumlin. One of the reasons he might be following Sumlin is that his son is a redshirt for A&M. Strong and Traylor have a great relationship and a lot of respect for each other.

I would assume that is the reason. If he gets the job here, man oh man talk about a house divided lmao!

lots of excitement about him.  why is he a good hire?

also, dillohorn is dangerously close to Armadillo Slim as a name.  are we related?

You and dillo may be neighbors or even hang out at the same pub but not know it.

Has a very strong reputation in East Texas and knows all the coaches there so he's a great hire recruiting wise.

Very sharp offensive mind as well, considered a spread guru.   Though going from 3A ball to the highest levels of D1 is a pretty big jump.

Will coach TEs at least at first. . . .

son possible transfer to the good guys if dad hired?

FYI he is a QB.

Technically, it's 4A ball. But yea.
