Well, NSD isn't going to be as exciting as it once was thought to be - but I'm excited as hell to think we now have 3 real life DTQB's committed to Texas (even if one isn't coming until next season).

Maybe we get a surprise or two on Weds - but so long as we still grab Warren we should have that top 10 class everyone doubted we could get two months ago.

Having officiated FWISD games, I can tell you this...it's depressing.

No crowds, small bands, and a very JV-like atmosphere. FWISD schools generally have good athletes at the skill positions, but poor blocking & tackling, and inadequate coaching. As soon as a good coach makes a name for himself, like Ged Kates at Arlington Heights, he leaves for a better, higher-paying job in the suburbs.

i remember watching etfinalscore.com on some of the high school football games and they were showing the highlights of mount pleasant vs pine tree game and they showed i believe ten people in attendance were at lthe game..I'm pretty sure im correct ..my number could be well off but i know they showed the stadium..It was not even fit and i felt for those players

Neither Pine Tree nor Mt. Pleasant are in the Fort Worth ISD

Pine Tree is a Longview school and mt Pleasant sits about 40 miles north of Longview. Both schools had very bad seasons so that and weather would explain their low attendance.

Pine Tree hasn't won in years.

I agree.....but when did we ever trend down at all (This recruiting season)? We are 1 of the biggest Recruiting stories/Surprises period

Ok, I'll go on record saying this isn't over with either Mack or Soso. I'm not even going to agree that either made a call to UT staff to declare their intentions. Soso's called BS on today's story. And the logic behind the Mack flip isn't working for me.

I'll wait until Wednesday and see how this pans out.

We need Charlie to get on that private Jet, pick up Cecil and Kai, and fly them out to Gladewater and then over to see Soso.

Malikmas was spectacular - but a kid from South Florida and a kid from Baltimore committed at just the right time to stop whatever negative momentum was building.

I know that part but my point is this after i watched the highlights i got a call from a good friend of mine in mt. pleasant that has a son that played on the varsity team; she was saying her son was wondering what would it be like to be apart of a winning  program with community support and you get alot of college coaches who come see you and see the good support that pours into the school..she told me

her son felt down about it for days

Sounds like Soso dismissing the rumors from today. 

To me this is a testament of what many of us were saying earlier when we asked "what changed today?"  I am confident with where we stand with Jamabo.  Someone with his skill set will definitely fit into our 'new' offensive scheme.  

As it's been said, the best advice for all of us it just to sit back and enjoy the ride.  This recruiting season should reassure you of one thing.  That is that Charlie Strong has it under control.  Additionally, we have so many guys that are on board already that are in constant contact with guys like Jamabo and Mack.  If they choose to go elsewhere so be it, I'm just not going to write guys off based on CBs and recruiting analyst.
