2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

I don't follow recruiting like most of you guys do, but I am , as I do yrly, watching it with interest just not intently

Can you guys give me your honest opinion of this class so far, in looking at the numbers it looks like we have mostly 3 and 4 start guys, he loaded up on the lines and db' and lb's which I believe is essential.     What are your thoughts on this class and what are our chances of getting a couple of more studs like Locksley and the Plano RB?

Does this class have a chance of making an impact this coming year?

right now this has been the best recruiting class that strong and the staff has put together..despite of where we were back in December..in terms of Locksley..we like our chances and its looking really good in us landing him and Soso.well its gonna be close...right now its a coin flip but i believe Texas will land Soso at the end of it

So is Texas A&M University and Kyle Field still the House That Johnny Built?

Frankly the entire membership of TexAgs should join in. Question is, is there enough counseling and treatment centers to handle it? In the entire country?

Depending just how they want to build this spread offense - we're going to need some TE's.
Plus, based on the depth chart that Juan posted… we're very short on FBs.

He has vey nice footwork based on how he sidestepped and hurdled some tacklers.

Big, strong bodies that can block, catch… and move well are nice to have around.

We are addressing needs with talent -- the 2015 team will be much deeper than the 2014 team was.  And, yes, there is no question some of the freshmen will start or at least have signif PT

On defense, if we are lucky enough to land Daylon Mack then we have addressed every need.  if we dont land him, we still have enough DTs in the 2-deep but it will not be the same as if we had him.  He is a difference maker - maybe best player in state

The other part of the defense you could argue is safety (including nickel in this) since we have lost 2 safety commits recently.  But, we already had some depth on the team at safety.  Plus we have Elliott.  Plus we still may add one more (Locke).  Other than nickel, I feel good about our DB class.  Our LB class is terrific.  And we added DE talent as well.  We basically have committed a complete starting defensive unit.

Not quite the same on offense.  We are going to be short on QB depth.  If we do not land Locksley, then QB depth will reflect poorly on Strong/Watson and the other recruiters (but we should get him).  We did land several OLs (4 of whom are on campus now, which is great) but, IMO, we should have grabbed one more.  Maybe two (given how awful the OL depth chart was already).  This WR class is terrific (with or without Lodge/Newsome).  We will sign one extremely talented TE (yay) but we may have work to do to get him in, and keep him focused on his schoolwork.  The RB class is already good, but will become phenomenal if we pull in both Warren and Soso (this will be one of the exciting parts of the next 3 days).

After NSD, there will be lots of articles to read on this class.  Depending on how NSD goes for us, it can be one of the better classes in UT history since scholarships limits.

Kid ran a 4.39 40 and had a 40 inch vertical at 225 pounds.  He runs down so many plays from the backside in his hudl film that its ridiculous.  And he's strong enough to stack an OL and toss him to the side and make a play.

Ridiculous talent.  Can't wait to see him starting this fall.

I know that was about JFF, but I looked at texags yesterday, and they talking s much about our class as they were their own

I dont think we land Lodge but SHA thinks we do

I am not willing to bet on it, as I am just guessing + I will be happy to be wrong on that (sometimes its good to be wrong)
