2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

lol this has been year of the TROLLS lol trollin trollin trollin RAWHIDDEE
Well in fact I grew up my dad watching Rawhide. Hoffman tv set my uncle gave us then got a....wait for it... 21 inch!! color! And guess who was a side-kick on Rawhide none other than Clint Eastwood himself!!!

Great wordsmithing alliteration there, Sho

What recruits, in particular, are you disappointed with from the 2014 class, Harley?

Locke can't be a stiff if Oregon offered him.
Yes, hardly a stiff.
PJ Locke was Defensive Player of the Year in his 5A district.

Stanford and Yale also offered, so the kid's smart. Likely to have fewer mental mistakes.

An article I saw says he plays all over the field. Perhaps a free safety making sure all are in the correct coverages?

A little film I saw shows the kid plays and hits hard.

Could it just be that he's under rated?

I can't imagine Charlie just giving a schollie away with all he has on the line.

From the timing of it, he seems like an option to replace Jamil Johnson but his play from the vid is more of a Nickel Back and he would functionally replace Irvin. His video seems very good. Tackles with anger, quick change of direction, good speed.

Assuming he as a sparq grade bc oregon doesn't offer anyone that doesn't do that, or so it seems haha. If anyone has that, can y'all post all his numbers? Thanks.

I love Baker long terms as a CB but Locke makes a ton of sense if we ideally want to keep Boyd outside and not at NB.

say juan? awesome job on lol the higs info
Just wanted to say before this whole thing is over... like the way you lol all along the way lol in all lol your sentences

nice touch -- I would have never thought in a hundred years to do it just the way you do ... and it's been a refreshing flavor not seen on any other board

also...thanks to every single one contributing, and Juan and Mark and Sirhornsalot, JB TexasEx, in particular and any other top leaders I may have left out ... oh, and Sho for sure... greatly needed a link to the great northeast as it were... and I didn't get any baby seal clubs the whole time (if you've gotten those elsewhere you'll know what I mean)

I predict Horns do exceptional on signing day and are the talk of recruiting for the year. Nationally I mean.

.

awwww David you're so welcome . I have a tendancy to laugh alot..maybe because I'm just a happy go lucky person all the time. It is refreshing to come here to a threading board where its more than just a talk about football but just about sports in general..I think the Horns are gonna shock the world on NSD imo... :) :) :)

So are we now in the quite period & could anyone state the rules pertaining to contact with recruits?  How long does it extend?

It might be Johnson's schollie spot, but I think its Diggs' spot on the field

I think they want someone really physical, who also has the quick hip turn like Locke has (he had a camp time of 4.46)

Irvin was the guy

But now, without Locke, its probably Boyd -- we really dont have another guy like this on roster

I think they would rather Boyd be a boundary defender

But, I am just guessing - we will see how it all works out later

so how is it looking for mr baker?

This is sort of interesting --

In a Q&A chat, Higs was asked about Locksley's offense in high school as compared to Heard's and whether it might be cause him to be behind like it seemed to be with Heard's

Higs said pointed out Locksley's dad is a coach so he has been around and seen alot of college-level stuff already.  Higs says he has a high football IQ and will come in knowing more than Heard did.  But he did not stop there.  He also suggested Heard has some maturity issues he has to work on.  He needs to grow

He also said that QB Wilson, who we looked at last night, wont happen
