I am pretty much done with Barnes. It is time to get a coach in there that can take us over the hump. I am grateful for what he has done but he is not a championship caliber coach. We have given him long enough to get there.

The further north you go, the more southern the residents. Yeah, they say "y'all" in Tallahassee. Down in Miami, the Yankee transplants say "youse guys".

You are right about that. I live 40 minutes north of Miami. It's awful here.

From my perspective, that Iowa player made a hard and intentional foul.  It was reckless.  The injury could easily have been worse.  He should have been ejected right then and suspended for the season.  Perhaps beaten and burned too.

Rumors after Ryan Newsome's heart-torn announcement:

- His HS coach called UT to see if an offer was still available for Ryan ??

- several days after Newsome's announcement, ou became very interested - why ? ... UT new WR coach Norvell could have mentioned to his wife that evening something like - we really wanted him at UT but we just did not have the scholarship numbers any longer at that particular time so we told Ryan he could still come to UT but not on a full-ride until a scholarship opened if he had to announce right away ??

- Maybe this is what his HS coach heard later after Ryan's announcement and he called to verify ??

- Maybe his HS coach called ou with this info and told them that Ryan really wanted to stay closer to home than UCLA ??

- Maybe Norvell's wife inadvertently mentioned that UT wanted Ryan but the numbers were too tight at the time in passing to one of her good friends over the phone back in Norman at ou - that friend got word to Bob Stoops - thus ou's after announcement interest in Ryan Newsome ??

- with a few UT leans going elsewhere, maybe now we have scholarship room again for Ryan ??

..... if you watch the video of his announcement, you will notice that it is heavy leaning towards UT and his Mother goes into "not happy looking" emotions as soon as Ryan says UCLA

I don't think its "not happy looking" emotions and more crying cause her baby boy is going to a good school. 

I feel for this kid... I haven't seen the video until just now and that was rough to watch.

I'm catching up on all the post. He didn't delete them. They were never posted. Which is fine because he posted one picture for each visit. Ours just happened to be him in a jersey and an edit. I wouldn't look into it.

Everyone knows that.  We were hoping his use of the word "y'all" in the tweet was a coded message directed at Texans. It is our word after all. 

Just like you could argue the field on the right of that tweet is brighter and prettier than the one on the left.

You would be wrong on that too, but you could argue it.

Does anyone else wonder if Daylon Mack has the maturity and focus to make it as a FBS athlete, especially in a system like Coach Strong's? The guy seems like an attention whore. I understand the attention can get a bit exciting for an 18 year old kid, but Mack seems more than a bit extreme.
