2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

I read on Smoaky.com that Daingerfield is getting a new stadium.

They dont get any respect .....

....He reminds me a lot of Sheldon Richardson who was 6´4" 292 in high school, ran a 4.72 and played both DE and TE. His video reminds me of Mack but I think mack offs more developed defensively as of their senior year

I was thinking of the helmet pooper.  Either way, he is beast mode

thats the thing what gets me they got a young team thats going through a downfall these past few seasons...and i know SHA and I talked about this..Daingerfield IMO has been overlooked and underappreciated

well ya know what Juan..that Gilmer/Gladewater game Mack WAS the whole gladewater team..and that was the state championship game IMO..two titans going at it and Gladewater played a whole new level talent of football

And he was killing the all star OLs in the UA game

They had had no answer for him

He has everyone's attention

Late EDIT: I was reminded that a 3-star at Louisville might be deemed a 4-star if

recruited by Texas, Alabama, LSU... etc. So take that plausible fact into account in my post below.

Signing off for Friday.

A reminder... one last thoughtful post for the day:

As of tonight, Texas has 12 Four-Star verbal commits.

But... for all of four years at L'Ville, Coach Strong had just that many 4-stars: Twelve!

And never recruited a 5-Star.

Strong's staff has proven they can coach and develop.

And I see his gutsy relentless effort in recruiting during this month of January as a demonstration by deed and not by words... to the team. Can any man on the squad ever give less effort than that?

I have to believe leaders on the team are going to demand that of themselves, as others as well.

And I think that and the attitude of dogs is going to pervade. We'll see.

Thanks for a fun day!!!
I always told my kids, as Daddy told us, never let your coach work harder than you do. It served them well.

They were rewarded for their hard work. I always found the pushy parents, the ones that wanted to know why 'Little Jimmy' didn't get get this or that when 'little Jimmy' was a complete slacker, annoying. Later I became good friends of the coaches, who recognized that another mom and I supported their efforts, and realized that our place as parents was behind the scenes.

A parent's role lessens in college, but is not irrelevant. Some parents are the support system the athlete and team needs, Mary Redding was a great example. She was supportive of Cory and the others on the team. She was a total value add. Some parents are toxic, and their kids performance suffers.

I love the kids that Strong and Co. are signing. They are talented, fiercely competitive alpha males. They are leaders and winners. The results will show on the field.

Hook 'em, Strong!

Wow, aggy creates a Hitler video because they were able to keep a legacy's son committed? Did they noticed he said he followed his heart instead of his head or it will make me a better player? Do you lose half your brain at Fish Camp?

I don't think you lose 1/2 your brain at Fish Camp, but I do think that you are programmed not to use it.

At Texas, you are encouraged to not only use your brain, but to expand your knowledge base. There is a big difference. Leaders vs Follower. We develop leaders.
