2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

If we are lucky enough to get Hill & Boyd(s) on Friday,

it might set up a dream scenario with Murray possibly making his call early, like on Sunday or Monday

If all that, then momentum rolling into NSD would be almost too exciting

We could be looking at best defensive class since the early 1980s

And maybe a better overall class than the 2002 class -- we will have to see how the experts stack it up

We will likely see comparisons to the 1967 class which was best all-time probably (the Worster class)

But, that alot of ifs -- all the chips must fall our way

You may need to pinch me if it actually starts happening
lol no sir not pinching you

^^^ Juan is right, the Worster class of '67 is the high water mark of UT recruiting.  This 2015 class has the potential to exceed that.  We will see.....

LET'S ROLL!
I think that class was before schollie limits right?

Making it tough to match

Unless his source is Kevin Murray - I don't think anyone knows anything.  He might be right (he probably is), but it won't be because his source knows something.

Farrell has been sticking solid with Murray to A&M for a while now. I'm not surprised that he hasn't shifted his opinion. We'll all know what's happening soon.

Juan can you elaborate on the Kai Locksley twitter exchange? I can't see what she said that he is thanking her for.

Yes Juan, there were no scholly limits then, but there are 2 ways to compare the 1967 bunch and the 2015 class if it does turn out to be a stellar class.

1.  If the 2015 class sweeps the field with the commitments and the uncommitted leans that are highly rated like we all hope, then a comparison to the overall talent gathered could be measured / compared to the 1967 bunch.  It could then be reasonably concluded that 2015 met, surpassed or not the 1967 class.

2.  Another comparison could be made with on the field results from the 2 classes.

The 1967 bunch could not play as freshmen - the frosh had their own team, so the W-L record for that group was over 3 years.  The '67 group record was (I believe): 30-2-1 (1968: 9-1-1, 1969: 11-0, 1970: 10-1) .  This included the 30 game winning streak - the longest in UT history.

To be a  fair comparison, the 2015 class would have to be measured for 3 years, Soph. - Senior years.  On the other hand , one could argue it would not be fair to take away their freshman year results to make the comparison.

I really care little about comparing this class to other classes to prove anything.  All I really care about is UT finishing the best we can with this 2015 class, putting a stick in aggy eyes and perhaps getting as high as the  #2 class in all the land.

Hook 'Em!!
