2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Summary of a post that Liucci has been deleting from his (Premium) site:

Kevin Murray wants his son to attend UT. Kylers mother agrees, and they are definitely pushing their son that way.

Kevin is going to move his business to wherever Kyler goes and would prefer it be Austin. Kevin's relationship with Watson and familiarity with Strong are mentioned.

Kevin is afraid that his guidance wouldn't be appreciated in College Station and he doesn't think that the coaches there would be receptive to him continuing to work with Kyler. No such worries with Watson and Austin.

Kevin Murray has sent 4 QBs to Sumlin and ATM, and all 4 have transferred - including the most recent - Kenny Hill.

Ultimately Mom and Dad are going to let Kyler make his own decision, but they are really trying to steer him to Austin.

Hah!  You don't realize how much you are preaching to the choir.

I have a daughter that went to A&M's veterinarian school.  Only because UT didn't have one.

But I can assure you, she grew up a Longhorn.  :)

Was she one of the ones who took 3 Afghan hounds hostage from the Animal Husbandry Dept. right after we invaded Afghanistan?

I heard there were only minor casualties.   :D

Lodge quote from Howell's article:

"Well I know about coach Strong and his staff and what he did at Louisville with his offensive coordinator and the offense they ran and the guys they had there and how they developed them," Lodge said. "We looked at it and Kyler (Murray) called me up and said let's roll out to Texas tomorrow. I was like alright I'll give these guys a chance. So we went down there and went over the offense. We sat down and talked about it and got on the board. It's a perfect fit. It could be perfect but they don't have a quarterback right now so if they can land Kyler that would be huge."
I'm curious how Heard is taking all this? Everybody is talking they don't have a QB, but I hope, from the coaches point of view and mouth to recruits, that the QB spot is open to whoever can take it. I hope that's how Heard is reading it and not a lack of confidence from Strong/Watson.

This makes me have so much more hope. Thanks for sharing all this info!

Excellent point and, in spite of the anti bias, Swoopes cannot be ignored as well.  At least I am betting HE feels that way.

If you play baseball and football... and you're offered on both for full rides? Who gets the scholarship football or baseball? I think I'm wording that right?

from cubanhorn on Texas 247, who apparently is close to the Gilmer HBC ...

"Talked to his high school head coach yesterday at lunch and he didn't know. He said if he had to bet Kris was going to Texas. While we were talking Kris called him to let him know that Burt committed to Texas so Kris is obvioulsy following texas recruiting. The aggie secondary coach also called while we were talking and Traylor said the secondary coach for the aggies was worried.
The parade for the state championship team was last night and demarco was wearing his usual longhorn attire. Aggie coaches were mad at him for putting up the Hook em sign in all his pictures at college station even when he was wearing the jersey
Gun to my head I think Kris goes to Texas but I guarantee he hasn't told anybody besides his brother and maybe a few close friends. His coach truly does know."

Feel free to fap as much or little as needed to this news but it's get better below...

"Gilmer coach was just in my office and he was truly excited about recruiting like we all are. He said people he hadn't talked to in months were calling about boyd and even Mack. For the record I asked him if they didn't like each other and he said Kris and Daylon were good friends but were both the biggest attention seeking kids he had ever seen. He stated that boyd and hill would both go to Texas for whatever it's worth
He gets a call in my office and shows me the caller ID and its coach sumlin. I told him not to answer lol but he left my office to take the call"

It would go to football. I think it may have something to do with revenue, but for 95% of schools it's going to be football regardless of what the other sport is.

College Station is going to be a town full of hate come NSD.

Incidently, I recently read an OU Sooner recruiting breakdown (updated late last week). I had to remind myself that it was impossible to feel sorry for them, but for a moment there it was touch and go for me. Most of their targets, targets that they are truly pinning their hopes on, are in the fold for Texas.

Texas is going to piss on two parades at the same time. lol

That Lodge interview had an interesting piece of info in it. They're saying that Lodges visit last week could possibly be counted as an OV and that he will find out Thursday if it did count. Interesting.

as I understand it, NCAA limits baseball scholarships to 11.7 TOTAL compared to football 85 ... Many UT baseball players only have a 1/2 scholarship if that .... Considering all the latest NCAA changes for Student-athletes' benefits, Kyler or anyone IMO would be better off financially taking a football scholarship over baseball.

FWIW, Demarco was all aggied out at hoops game tonight.

I stole this from Shaggy

"from a texaggy thread before the staff deleted the info...

"TexAgs had a thread go nuclear when someone started it with the bomb below. Liucci has since zapped it and the ensuing thread is part meltdown part I'm not sure. Anyways mods can delete but I don't really see it as premium info if it was just from some random poster.

I'm not sure if I should post this or not, but here goes. I spoke with a friend tonight whose son takes lessons from Kevin Murray and this is what he told me.

First, they had to cancel their lesson for tomorrow because Oregon will be making an in home visit. I haven't read where anyone has said this yet but they scheduled this real late in the game. My buddy said the Murray's didn't find out until last night that Oregon was making an in home visit.

We all know about Thursday with A&M and Friday with Strong. Now to the part I'm not sure I should post. From what my friend told me if the decision was up to Kevin, Kyler will be heading to Texas. The reason being is Kevin wants to be wherever Kyler is. When I brought up the possible consulting job, my buddy didn't say anything other than Kevin really wants to be working wherever Kyler goes. I left that alone for a minute. I then stated some of the things Liucci and Brice have said about the visit being crucial for A&M on Thursday and that I felt A&M would get Kyler. My buddy then said the only way A&M gets Kyler is if Kyler tells his parents that's where he wants to be. Kevin will let him make the call.

The only positive I see is that it's in Kyler's hands. The part that bothers me is that Kevin and several texas players are in his ear. That might explain the pressure tweet Kyler issued. I think Sumlin and Spav will have to hit a home run come Thursday night with Kyler. That's nothing new."

Completely jives with what Higdon has been saying."

I could be dead wrong about Boyd and Hill, but I don't think I am.

This was posted by Winags on an aggie forum, "Boyd and Hill are sips IMO and playing a trolling game with our fans, I will bet money on this with anyone that wants to bet. PM me."

It's my understanding, and I may be wrong on this, that if he were on both teams, he would count as one scholarship for football and one for baseball as well.
