2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Burton says John Burt is saying he is a Texas commit.

Add him back to the commit list. His OV is next weekend.
I know little about John Burt, but from all I’ve read, he is a stand up kid.

Seems he has been very honest… and transparent with Texas and Charlie Strong… throughout the entire process.

If it’s true he is now a Texas commit again… the fact that Charlie has allowed him back… is a direct reflection to the kid’s character… and talent… and also Charlie Strong’s… and a vote of confidence to Charlie’s transparent approach to recruiting.

The fact that Mack related how his official visit was much different than he expected… is further evidence of that, IMO.

Yes, but he won't blueshirt because then he'd have to pay for his fall tuition.

Right, Juan?
I found this on Blueshirting.

The school simply has to keep the athletes un-recruited (as defined above) and then award them scholarships after they arrive and start football practice. They will still count toward the total scholarship limit, but will not count toward the initial counter limit until the following year.

The “blue shirt†approach is basically the same as a “gray shirt†with one very significant difference.    Whereas a gray shirt athlete is delaying their enrollment at the university until the Spring semester, a “blue shirt†will enroll in the Fall, and attend as a walk-on athlete without a scholarship for at least the first semester.
FYI - I was still confused about the difference myself. http://informedathlete.com/old-shirt-new-shirt-red-shirt-blue-shirt

What is Merrick gonna do with himself this fall? Work out with his private QB coach, Kevin Murray?

mr. garland im curious about quinn fluellen??? did he commit anywhere yet?? i heard that trinity valley was looking at him

He committed to TVCC.

Tate committed to A&M Commerce.

SMU was looking at Carter last week.
yeah i knew tate had committed to a&m commerce and i know that ummm UH was looking at carter as well and believe it or not from what i read umm now i gotta recheck now but i believe Kingsbury was looking at him as well..

I'm sorry but I just can't see one of the top players in the country agreeing to a blue shirt...if KM is coming, he is taking a spot in this years class on UT's dime IMO

That being said, I don't care how he gets here, as long as he gets here.

I was going through the recruiting chat on scout and was confused by a reply to a question that higs wrote regarding why Murray wasn't going to schedule an OV to Texas. He said "it will all make sense on national signing day why Murray isn't going to schedule an OV to Texas." Can anyone make sense of this response?

The only logical thing I can think of is he's already been on a secret OV.

Base on what I have found, a Blueshirt counts in the next recruiting class.  I'm sure the Murray's financial situation is different from some of the other recruits.

Most schools that use the Blueshirt process are maximizing the number of recruits that they can get signed and on campus.

Not saying this is the case in Murray's situation but with the number of kids interested in Texas, this could be a strong possibility.
