Someone else caught up with Kai before his flight --
Texas is recruiting Locksley as a QB. No coaches at any school talked to him about playing anything but QB.
He was hosted by Malik. He said he really bonded with Malik, Omenihu, Lampkin, Mack and just about everybody else there. "Basically everybody that was there, we really grew close and had a great bond. That's definitely what you want to see with a class you'd be coming in with and when you're trying to jump-start a program."
Has become close with John Burt. Burt has been working him hard to go to Texas, ever since the Under Armour Game. Locksley feels Burt to Texas.
Said Mack and Soso were both asking him what he's doing. After hanging out with those guys, he thinks Texas is in a good spot -- he sees a surge to the finish for UT. "I feel like there will be a lot of guys coming (to Texas)," Locksley said.

If everything goes right, this class will be the foundation of a championship capable team in 3 years. Maybe sooner. The next two recruiting classes will just fill in some pieces.
I suspect we will have 18-20 spots open next year, but we will have to wait and see.

I hate surprises lol. Not the most patient person, but at least it will be a good surprise.
I can't see Murray waiting until NSD few reasons
1. As much as I hate the Aggies, I doubt he would stick it to them in a dramatic fashion.
2. He would probably not want to miss out on one of his friends missing out on a opportunity to play with him, I know they are all staying in touch with each other but we have 18 guys fighting over 9 spots. Good chance there just isn't a spot available for his friends if he waits.

Charles ended his interview almost verbatim to Locksley -- "They (Texas fans) will be in for a surprise on Signing Day."
More .........
"Just spoke with Charles Omenihu about his visit to Austin and he and his family on the ride home were FIRED up..."
"Something. I have to say the Omenihu family car ride home was like a PARTY atmosphere. There was singing and celebration... "

Absolutely but one of his friends might not have a spot. Unless kyler is a silent commit and tells his friends to commit before NSD.

I'm confused now, did locksley make the same comment that lampkin and Charles O made about the NSD surprise? If so then I would think the surprise is in regards to someone other than those 3!

Hookem--welcome to HS. I have no idea how long you've followed recruiting and forgive me if I'm being a jackass. But I've been following recruiting via internet sources since the beginning of time..and if I had a dollar for every time some guy that had a financial interest in a recruiting site...bragged about what he knows but can't tell you...I'd have a paid trip to Europe this summer.
It's funny how...after all of these years of watching and all of these years of hearing the brags...I've never seen a follow up after signing day to tell you all the secrets that they couldn't previously tell.
And of course, I'm not trying to pick on Chip and Higdon. All of the guys that make money off of us do the same thing.
