2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Here is one more potential 2015 DT

DT TJ Fehoko (6'2,260) of Salt Lake City de-committed from Colorado and has been speaking with us

From Scout (they think its unlikely)

http://247sports.com/Player/TJ-Fehoko-27954

He was the Utah 2014 DPOY.  Fehoko had 21 sacks and 10 forced fumbles as a senior, despite double & triple teams. As a junior he led the country in sacks with 34.  But, as you can see, size will probably be an issue at next level.

Looks like Rivals gave Elliott a 4th star.  He and Omenihu were among the 8 new four-stars who did not make their final 250

The Under Armour Game and practices were the first chance I had to see Elliott in person, and I was very impressed with the fluidity of his hips and his quickness in space. Some have knocked Elliott in the past for his coverage skills, but he's more than capable of doing what will be asked of him as a safety at the next level. Elliott has good ball skills, is very athletic and a player that is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential.

DeShon Elliott should have gotten a 4th star but did not

Rumor that Norvell warned us about the potential Lampkin flip

Dunno if true
Man, hope it's just a rumor. Otherwise, it's A'Shawn Robinson all over again. If true, I hope we "leak" it ahead of time and ruin the surprise of the elephant Sooner wagon running onto the stage.

This might help us with 4-star CB Xavier Lewis

He OVs with us on 30th (LSU this weekend)

And they already have 5-star CB Kevin Tolliver as an early enrollee

Pretty crappy for Lampkin if true

His plan was to OV with us this weekend, then flip to ou on NSD?

I watched the 2014 HUDL highlights. This boy is a football player. Amazing first step. Very disruptive.

I would love to have him on our team.

Not a good sign --

Rumors have linked Lampkin to Oklahoma in recent weeks and for good reason. A one-time Oklahoma commitment, Lampkin took an official visit to Norman on Dec. 5. It's now being speculated the Sooners not only have a chance to flip Lampkin, but some reports state there's a high probably Lampkin ends up back in the fold for Oklahoma at the end of the day.
Lampkin is aware of the reports but didn't want to go in depth about the rumors when asked about them on Wednesday.

Lampkin I hope stays with Texas, but if he wants to go to OU...then leave now so we will stop spending our monies on him and we can go after DT's that would love to come to Texas.

Yep another Ryan Perrilloux, pretend like your still committed to UT and recruit behind the scenes for another school.

I am always amazed/amused by some many posters/fans who are always so definite about these decisions.

"He aint going anywhere"

"Let me tell you worriers something ...."

"He is solid."

How do we ever really know?  We are not inside their heads.

And, even if we were, some of these guys change what is inside their heads on a regular basis.

Wish there were more like the Brothers Johnson, but they are more the exception than the rule.

Maybe Rumph can still close it?

If Lampkin even shows (he might just go into hiding now)

Is Rumph even a closer?

I used to think so

I guess we will see

(If not, we should make him pay for his own coffee)

"The story here is that Lampkin wanted to visit UCLA but Strong said he'd pull his offer if he did so.
Lampkin became furious and plotted his revenge, which he originally intended to be a signing day flip back to Oklahoma.
The entire OU staff knew about this, so you can speculate away about why Texas offered that Cali-DT shortly after hiring Norvell.
Lampkin's secret is out now, but I have no idea what Strong is going to do at nose tackle now."

If we lose Gentry to Harbaugh on top of this, then it's going to be a epic meltdown
The story is that Harbaugh said he would not meet with Gentry unless there was some interest expressed by Gentry.
As you already know if you have been following this thread, they did meet.
We are a leaky ship right now.
