2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

The Cardale thing is interesting. Hmm. He said he wasn't ready for the NFL.

WTF! Why haven't we offered yet? This is why I'm seriously done with Strong. Here we are wasting our time and efforts with recruits like Malik Jefferson when you have an absolute game changer like Jack Lenihan sitting right there for the taking. Seriously, pull the scholarship of any kid we've offered and give it to Jack right now. There is nobody out there in High School football that is doing what Jack is doing with the kind of poise and posture that you want in a kid at that age.

Seriously, I don't want to be sitting here in 2019 regretting the day that we didn't sign Lenihan. Get ready though, his offers are about to start rolling in.

I'm done. I'm done. Bring in a new coach. CROSSFIRE. CROSSFIIIIIIIIRE!

Chris Warren picked up TAMU offer today.

Pretty weird timing. RB class must not be going how they'd like.

Flashback: JT Barrett -- from 247 -- J.T. Barrett on if Texas made a mistake: "They saw the film"

http://texas.247sports.com/Bolt/Barrett-on-if-Texas-made-a-mistake-They-saw-the-film-34769974

Texas considered many quarterbacks in the 2013 class, including two duel-threat signal callers from in-state.

One was an athletic specimen from a small town, Whitewright. The other, a dynamic quarterback from Wichita Falls, who put up great numbers in high school until a knee injury ended his senior season.

The Longhorns offered only the former, Tyrone Swoopes, and the latter, J.T. Barrett, left Texas to attend Ohio State.

Two years later, Barrett was a Heisman Trophy candidate for the national champion Buckeyes before an injury ended his redshirt freshman season. Swoopes also ascended to Texas' starting role, but he struggled mightily and the coaches only promised “open competition†for the starting job next season.

Following the national championship game, J.T. Barrett was asked by a reporter if the Longhorns made a mistake not to extend him an offer. To which he replied, “I don’t need to tell them that. They saw the film (of this season).â€

That film included leading the Buckeyes to an 11-1 record in the regular season after taking over for injured starter Braxton Miller in fall camp. On the year, Barrett threw for 2,834 yards, 34 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions. He also ran for 938 yards and 11 touchdowns, setting a single-season Ohio State record for total touchdowns without playing the team's full slate of games.

Swoopes, for his part, led Texas to a 5-7 record in his 12 starts – he took over the starting job when Texas lost David Ash for his career due to concussions. On the year, Swoopes threw for 2,409 yards, 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also ran for 262 yards and four touchdowns.

So was there a mistake made?

There’s still time, but right now, the stats and film sure make a convincing case.

But Barrett doesn’t have to tell anyone that.

FWIW - 247 is reporting that Soso Jamabo has confirmed a Texas visit for Jan 23rd.

Aggies leading rusher had 124 carries last season.  The 2 years before that their leading rusher was their QB.  Seems an odd choice for him.
Aggie has almost 0 shot at Warren. They are desperate for RB's though and I fully expect them to start carpet bombing offers at that position.
