Quoting Sirhornsalot      "I was a QB under Alexander (aka The Rifleman)"

DO YOU HAVE ANY ELIGIBILITY LEFT?  I know a college team that could use a good QB

(I hope my quote was correct- for some reason my copy and paste is not working.)

We need to control the LOS. Would like to see another defensive lineman or two and another offensive lineman.

We called Alexander the Rifleman because he looked so much like Chuck Connors. Any of us caught saying that word (rifleman) had to run laps.

Warning - if you put me in against OU, I will spend each and every play throwing as hard as I can at Bob Stoops.

LOL: Brewer with eligibility to transfer back to Texas! Has that ever actually happened with a player transferring out and then back in at the Div 1 level?

If we get Boyd and Hill we will have one of the top db and lb classes in the country.

If we get Hill and Boyd our DB list would rival our all star haul at LB this recruiting season. Amazing! Now just need an out of this world walk on place kicker. I seldom see JUCO PKs moving upward to the FBS ranks. I guess most coaches don't feel a scholarship is worth it for a kicker. Of course our scholarship PK, Jordan, has yet to pan out. Hopefully 2015 will be his year after a RS season injured. Hope he improves his consistency, and that he has a better haircut than Rose.

I hope we get to the point that we can give scholaships to kickers and punters.  Having a punter like AL has would be worth a scholarship.

That kid is a game changer.

Hope Boyd and Hill are silent commits, I hate the smoke and mirrors!
Weird but I feel more confident in getting hill than Boyd now even tho we probably get both. Boyd is having fun toying with everyone. The only thing is they have to realize that we can only give out 6 more scholarships and everyone and there mother is now intrested in us now.

Any idea what the top deciding factor is?

247 --

The in-state Longhorns are one of those teams. On Saturday, Hill discussed how the 31-7 loss to Arkansas affects his outlook on Texas.

“I did get a chance to watch some of the bowl game, and it showed me the Longhorns need a lot of help," Hill said. "I would have a good opportunity to play there.â€

That is great news for Texas, because Hill, the 247Sports Composite's No. 99 overall prospect, considers the opportunity to make an instant impact at the top of the list when it comes to factors for making his commitment.

“One of the most important things for me is playing time," Hill said. "Wherever I am going to go I plan to make some plays early."

"I talked to Malik Jefferson right before he committed, and I am really happy for him," Hill said. "It was good to see him finally decide on where he is going to go to college. Texas is starting to fill in the holes on the roster. If they keep doing that, they have a bright future."

Another highly-rated cornerback that has Texas in his top group heading into the final month before signing day is Kris Boyd.

“I got really close with Kris Boyd throughout the recruiting process, and I spoke to him right before he went out for the Army All-American Bowl," Hill said. "It could work out that we go to the same school. He is choosing a school that best fits him and I am going to do the same thing for me.â€

Earlier this week, Hill named a top three of LSU, Alabama and Texas, with officials visits still to take to Texas, Alabama and Baylor, giving the Bears still have a chance to move up. Boyd says that as of now, his three schools are even.

"The official visits will determine where I go," Hill said.

Hill says he intends on taking his official visit to Texas on Jan. 16. Expect a decision to come in the final week heading up to signing day.

Also, the 2 most recent CB predictions for Holton Hill are both Texas

They were both from today and are the first for Hill in over a month

He visits on Jan 16
