Ya'll keep Shevis Irons in your prayers

I have been wearing a Livestrong bracelet for ten years, initially in memory of my father who died of mesothelioma in 1989. Over the years, as I have heard of friends and acquaintances being diagnosed with cancer, I would tell them that I was wearing it for them. Matt Cotcher was one of them. Now, I am adding Shevis Iron. Be strong. Stay strong. Live strong.
I still wear mine. It was given to me by a good Horn fan, that some of y'all may know from boards (randym@ut).

FYI, Shevis was at DKR yesterday and in good spirits (yes, we talked before the game). He'll beat this, no doubt.

Keep praying, folks.

That's me, Matt. How did that Livestrong notebook work for you?
Paperwork and bills were still overwhelming at that point. (Hell, everything was overwhelming.)

I ceded organization to my wife. The notebook is overly full and on the shelf, arm's length away.

You & Dennis would get along well.

Any update . . . .
His test results came back not so favorable.  He heads back to MD Anderson tomorrow to meet with the oncologist and have a scan of his head/brain.  The doctors are still trying to determine the extent of the cancer.

With that being said I talked to him several times today and he was in GREAT spirits.  He was setting up a Christmas tree and then became quite perturbed when the built-in lights didn't work.  He mentioned shotgunning the defective tree but didn't think his wife would approve...

Ya'll just keep praying for him and sending him well-wishes!  He will beat this.

Amen brotha. Hang in there Dennis!

Okay guys, I received an update.

He has been at the hospital since early this morning and will be there until late tonight.  He will start chemotherapy on Friday in hopes that the tumor shrinks, allowing them to perform surgery.  His doctors are extremely well regarded, as you can imagine, and he has some of the best care that can be found for what he is dealing with.

Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for the update Aaron.  Hang in there Dennis.

we are pulling for you daily our great pal!  keep your head up dennis.

Bear, things are fluid now because he is meeting with so many doctors.  I know that he and his family need ALL of the prayers and support we can give.  Please spread the word about this.
