A 7-3 half time game between those two teams? Man I was looking forward to some offense tonight, so far it is a snoozer.

Don't look now, but Arizona decided to make a game of this.

Zona 24

Oregon 14

3rd

Wow, game over right there. Zona with the turnover!

Hope Texas was watching this defense handle Oregon's O.

Oregon pulled an Oregon. They are always good for one of these type upset games every year.

Rich Rod has Arizona at 5-0 and just beat the #2 team in the country. The misery for Michigan continues. Too bad he wasn't a Michigan man.

Why I don't bet football, would have loaded up on Oregon.

Weird caca happens on Thursday nights. . . .

Yep, if I am a highly ranked team I would avoid a Thursday night game like the plague.

Just goes to show you that the up-tempo, spread offense can be slowed down if not stopped altogether.

I hope Strong and Bedford were taking notes last night.

No, hope our offense  and our coordinator and head coach watched how 'Zona's offense kept the Ducks' off the field and PUT POINTS ON THE BOARD !!!!! You don't beat teams like Oregon with defense. You beat them with offense...Its your best defense because it keeps their O off the field and playing catch up.

'Zona recovered 2 turnovers and enjoyed a small TOP advantage . . .

The last turnover was critical as Oregon was driving for the lead late in the game. . . .

The game was 7-3 at half .. .

O had 11 drives, 4 punts were forced, they fumbled twice, had one turnover on downs then scored 3 TDs and a FG.

I'd say the D gets some credit. . .  .

Surely the Defense gets credit. it just takes a good offense to bale them out against a great offense like Oregon, Baylor, etc. !

Turnovers and breaks are always huge when you face the #1/2 offense in the country.

Tell Stanford that you don't beat Oregon with defense. They've beaten Oregon for the last two years. In 2012 17-14 in OT and 26-20 last year. Although I do agree with you that to beat good teams you need an effective offense to take the pressure off even if you have a great defense.
