More rumors that Daje Johnson will be reinstated this week

I realize it's basically hearsay from several people I don't know, but there was discussion on the longhorn nation subreddit that Daje Johnson will, in fact, be reinstated this week.  Here's the link:

Basically, a guy has a friend on the football staff who claims that Daje will be reinstated.  Further down in the thread, another guy who has classes with some football players said they also confirmed Daje was being reinstated.

Hopefully this is true, and if not, my apologies.  Just thought I'd share some anecdotal evidence to point at DJ coming back for a big week.

We've heard the rumors as well but nothing definite has been confirmed to anyone here on the HS staff or to our sources.  He's been practicing with the first team (this has been confirmed) and the likelihood of even Daje finding out about it prior to gameday would be slim IMO. 

Several players we have talked with have a strong feeling Daje will take the field on Saturday, but again, nothing has been confirmed.

I believe he will play also, but as previously stated nothing confirmed. Only one man knows and thats strong. He is smart though. He reinstates daje before Friday then daje does something stupid in practice he has to retract and suspend him again. That doesn't look good. If he holds off till Friday and then reinstates daje, as a reward for still practicing hard all week, it looks good for both parties involved.

Yeah, I actually find it hard to believe that anybody on the team or with some connection to the team would know this early in the week.  My guess is maybe it was a grade thing and he knows that his midterms went well/actually got his grades back, so the guys think it's a done deal and he's back on.  Then again, I have no idea what I'm talking about so that could all be completely wrong.

Vance Bedford spoke today. It was 100% defense. 

That's it for press conferences this week. I'll be there early on Saturday and report right away if Daje is warming up with the team.

Sounds like he's going to play from this, why waste first team reps on a player you know is not going to play.

Sounds about right. Apparently didn't want to fight for a spot while he was on the 40 acres.
