I saw that coming from a mile away (not your jinx post but the loss). That's what Bielema does at the end of the games. People don't realize that Arkansas is actually a decent team but they choke games away. They should have won about 3 or 4 more games last year if not for complete choke jobs like tonight. Just complete ineptitude in play calling and time management at the end of games.

Aggy finally found their mojo...winning games they ought to lose. I'm the first to admit that seeing aggy win one like they did today hurts.

It's the same team as last year. Their defense is still atrocious, and I bet they still drop 3 or 4 games on that schedule. They will lose 2 of 3 if not all 3 on the road at Bama, Auburn, and Mississippi State. LSU, Ole Miss and Missouri are all toss ups. When your defense is that bad you will eventually lose some games. They can't stop a team that lines up and pounds the ball. If Arkansas didn't try to get cute in the second half they would have won. Arkansas is the worst team in the SEC west and it took a choke job for Aggy to win.

Arkiesaw was picked dead last in the SEC West. Aggy squeaked out a win at a neutral site.
Texas beat the team picked dead last in the Big 12. Defensive shutout at their house.
Actually argued with a Horn fan today as he was busy watching the aggy game. Said wake him up in 2016 since he couldn't get excited about 5-6 win seasons.
He then called me aggie for comparing Kansas and Arkansas. Both finished 3-9 last year. Arkiesaw beat mighty Samford and La-Lafayette. Kansas beat W. Virginia and La Tech. Go figure.

i'm a confirmed sunshine pumping, koolaid drinking, orange glass wearing mutha. but if you think our lackluster win over a horrible ku team was as good as the ags win in jerry world, you're just trying too hard.

Beating Arkansas is a better win there's no denying that. I don't think it's a great win by any imagination as Arkansas probably won't make a bowl game. Beating Tech isn't all that impressive this year. We may not score 49 points but I think we hold Tech to fewer than 28 points from what I've seen of their offense.
All in all Aggy is living off the hype of an easy schedule so far. Lamar isn't a division one team, and are getting blown out right now by a 1-3 Sam Houston State team. Rice is 1-3 and probably won't make a bowl. SMU might not win a football game this year. Arkansas is 3-2, but won't win 2 games in the SEC meaning they won't make a bowl game. South Carolina is the best team Aggy hasn't beaten and they lost to Missouri tonight (the same team that lost to a crap big 10 team last weekend). In other words, Aggy has beaten one bowl team in South Carolina that isn't a world beater by any imagination.

No doubt. I think we have a long way to go. I don't see how that excludes discussing other teams.

of course it doesn't. but the 'other team' in this case was a&m, as it often is. and SHA's post about comparing beating ku and beating arky, based on LAST year's record and both teams preseason forecast seemed desperate to me.
pretty good chance aggy is better than us this year. shit happens. spending time trying to diminish whatever they do to make us feel better isn't my thing.

The whole point is that aggy is doing a damned lot better than everyone predicted before the season. First they were going to get blown out by SC...but they didn't. Then they were going to lose not less than 1 out of the next 4 ...but they didn't. They're now 5-0, ranked well into the top 10, kicking ass in recruiting and playing one hell of an exciting brand of football.
And yes I'm well aware that 3 of those victories were pretty much like them playing a high school. Yet Baylor played an even easier schedule and everyone oohs and aahs about what a great team they have and speculates about how bad they're going to kick our ass.;
I hate the aggy bastards as much as anyone on this board...but if you want to turn that around..quit acting like it doesn't exist and start figuring out a way to stop it.
