Tell us how we're doing...

Generally I find myself in agreement with JoeWa. . . I am a fan of more 'meat on the bone" type reporting which drills deeper into the nuances of football . ..I do think a strong basketball writer would draw an audience.

I will restate something that I think would truly separate the board from the others..

First a review of how our commits and targets performed each week.

And second, a review of the "state of high school football"  .. . key games, key upsets. . .who to watch .. .how the playoff races are shaping up etc.

Oh and I'll add a third. . .a focus piece on one HS player or coach each week .. . .there are enough of them, that can roll over into the offseason.

is there a way to automatically ignore Street without having to go to the trouble of pressing a button?

just kidding.

i like the board and it's general direction.  i like what Marian adds to the board and enjoy her articles.  love DJB's pictures and updates of baseball team.

Lukus' movie reviews should be restricted to Disney only.

call my wife. she'll tell you how to do it.

what happened to the feature talked about early on where we were going to average out the star rankings of the four or five major recruiting services, then rank the classes.  some sort of consensus ranking.

i think that's a more valid measure of recruits than looking at any of the individual rankings lists, like Rivals, which is pretty much completely biased towards Florida kids and the SEC.

that should be an easy spreadsheet to put together, i would think.

I REALLY like these ideas. I do a HS scoreboard every Friday night (because I have no life) and was thinking just yesterday that I should put beside the teams the names of Horn commits playing in that respective game.

I've also thought of doing a preview of key games but didn't want to piss anyone off who thought it better to have more Horn threads.

IMO, these are future Horns and keeping up with their play answers a lot of questions you would otherwise have about them after they're on the 40. It's also pretty exciting at the HS level. It's all heart. I love that.

I'm not sure my time would allow for much more though. I still run a business while balancing this stuff.

Great ideas on here.

I'm a fan of more Texas HS content and I think it will bring greater viewership with something of highlighting a game of the week and/or an athlete of the week.

Good stuff, guys!

Aaron, Matt Luke etc,, if any of you have a list with the High School listed by the Texas Commit, I'd appreciate it if you could send me a link or list.

I'll need some help with the Houston area and the out of state kids if anyone can.

For the pinned content that are linked to articles within the site, why not post the info in the thread as well?  That is what will help with getting more discussion in a thread.

FYI, W2W4 is pinned at the top and is in uncharted waters with the story in the post....
