****Texas vs. North Texas Official Game Thread***

My thoughts so far

1) Our defense is good.
2) The weak link on the offensive line is Doyle. Both sacks were his fault I believe. Once Harrison comes back Doyle will be on the bench.
3) We are taking proper angles now on defense, thank god.
4) Watson calls a conservative gameplan, but that's perfectly fine. Keeps Ash healthy and allows us to burn clock.
5) I like Shipley on punt returns. He's not going to do anything spectacular, but he's not going to fumble or do anything stupid.
6) Ash looks pretty good for his first game back.
7) The offense will look different with Daje and Harrison back. Think Strong/Watson are hiding some of the plays until Daje gets back. From what I've heard from a trainer friend of mine Daje is being utilized all over the field with all types of motions.

They are 0-7 on third down we are 3-9 for third down. We have to have a better conversion rate than that

Quick 1st Half thoughts:

Pleased with the D.

Ash looked accurate, but lacks protection

WRs look ok, couple of dropped passes that should've been caught.

Like the DBs

Punt return blocking needs help. Ship is gonna get killed.

21-0 is good for a half in a practice game.

It is actually hard to watch a game without a good beer in hand. Not to that I drink a lot, but it has been missed.

I see a lot of good running this year as the OL starts to gel.

As I type Harris continues to make amends

Very conservative offense but that's how Strong likes it. Low risk means minimal turnovers and keeps Ash healthy,
