Here's an update on the online portion of the auction.

Eric is trying to get this set up to begin no later than 2 PM on Saturday 8/23.

The plan is for me to transfer the posts for the items over here.

Once the items are posted here, if you have an item you'd like to place a bid on, let me know in this thread or via the HS CHAT Function and I'll get your bid posted on OB.  I will be paying close attention to the thread to make sure that we get your bid placed.

Eric will have a time that the bidding will close for each item and I'll make sure that everyone here is aware of the cutoff times.

Once an item is 'Won' the 'Winner' will then use PayPal to send Eric the money for the item, and that item will be shipped to the winner.

IF you are a member of Orangebloods, you can participate in the auction directly over there.

I'm here to help out those that are not members there.

They can call, email, text or contact me at any time regarding any issue with their fantasy team all season. From helping with live support during their draft to giving weekly advice on waiver pick-ups, matchups and sit-start decisions. In weeks where I think the decisions are especially hard, I will invite the winner of this extravagant fantasy concierge package to come on my national SiriusXM show to talk out the decision with me and my co-hosts on-air.

Here's a list from Eric:

6 signed helmets
6 signed balls
13 signed photos and card and mags
2 grills
$1000 new mattress you can pick out
Guitar lessons
6 golf outings

2 beer baskets
Liquor
$1000 driver

8 hard drives
$250 in BBQ sauce
Specially made Texas letterman jacket to size. Not kidding

And much more!

The outpouring of support is so wonderful.

When/where in Houston is the auction?
I believe there's a live auction, and perhaps a silent auction, at the Happy Hour on Thursday night.

It is Thursday, 8/21 5-10 PM at Red E Golf, 19875 Southwest Freeway #140, Sugarland, TX 77479.

RSVP ericg320@hotmail.com

Regarding the online auction, just spoke to Eric, and he said the online portion of the auction will be on Saturday, as his laptop crashed and he has to reenter all the photos and info on the items.

So, ONLINE AUCTION-NOW MOVED TO SATURDAY.

LIVE AUCTION, HAPPY HOUR-THURSDAY IN HOUSTON.

Need a few more donations to the auctions; and Eric is willing to part with some awesome memorabilia as a bonus.

HornSports-step up to the plate on this if you can.

Eric has agreed to put up his Kevin Durant rookie card (which is 1 of 199 ever made) up for auction if we get just 3 more donations for Jeff's auction, a $250 value.

If we get 3 more donations (6 total), Eric has agreed to put his signed Michael Jordan Tar Heels card up for donation, which is a $400 value.

FYI folks, Aaron donated an item from HS to help the cause. Participate in the online auction if you are able - there's some great stuff!

A quick note; I've had several conversations with Eric on the online portion of the auction.  It will be hosted on Orangebloods.  Eric said that due to that, folks will either have to be members there, OR bid via proxy though members there.  Eric and I are going to do our best to provide this proxy coverage for you.

I asked if he could host the online auction at an outside site, but, (and he had a great point on this,) he risks losing roughly 18,000 eyes and money for Jeff & Linda if the online portion moves.

I'm certainly not asking anyone to join another site, just letting y'all know that there are a few of us that will be happy to accommodate your bids via proxy if you see items you want to bid on come Saturday.

I will be talking to Eric on Friday to get a better handle on how we will do this, and will share this with y'all when I get more details.  I think I'll be posting the items/posts here as they are offered, and I'm sure there will be some sort of time limit on bids.  I'm fairly certain I'll be scrambling a bit with this as it takes shape, but I believe we'll be able to do this as it's set up currently.

Just keeping y'all in the loop.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff!

And a big THANK YOU to Aaron who's donating even more items!!!

Hook'em!!
Atta Boy Aaron.  Way to step up.  If you want to donate something, contact Eric.  (This does not mean stuff you've been saving for your garage sale!)

I have a couple of things I could donate to the auction, but there's no way I could get them to Houston. DFW or Austin, yes. Is this a problem?

joey, do me a favor, if jodybo or pbr (are they still there?) start talking their nonsense and i get sucked in, come talk me down.

Mark,

Email Eric and he will work out the details of getting the items to the winning bidders.  All he really needs is description and photos.

Both are there, although jody hasn't had much to discuss since his Houston Cougs haven't done much lately, and there has not been a recent thread about how season tickets are allocated or how Texas & aggy should play again.  Don't worry, I'll babysit you.  I'll just send the bill to Slim.

AUCTION INFORMATION HAS BEEN UPDATED (8/22 4:25PM CST,) IN THE ORIGINAL POST AT THE TOP OF THIS THREAD.

Should you have any questions, please post them in this thread and I'll get an answer for you.

FB pm me or email me at ericg320@hotmail.com

Just need pics!

Thank you!!

Just emailed you.

I have a 30 gallon Pindo Palm worth $450. It's gorgeous. I'll need to take a picture of it as the only one I have now was taken at night with a flash. It's about 4.5 ft to 5 ft tall and about 5 ft wide. I have been caring for it all summer so it looks awesome.

Also have a 750 ml Old Rip Van Winkle Handmade Bourbon, 107 proof, aged 10 years when I received it 6 years ago, and hand-numbered on the front (C4509). It is worth around $400 as you cannot buy it anywhere (according to winesearcher.com) It's due to be released again this fall but it will be bought out before it hits the shelves. Here's a chance to get a bottle when few can.

For any buyer from Houston, I cannot deliver these. I can ship the bourbon I assume. Any buyer in Austin or DFW, I can deliver the Palm to.

Hopefully, we can get a grand out of those for Jeff and his family.

I wish I had items to donate, but I don't.  I guess I can buy something, and donate for auction.

I do have on hand several autograph cards of Longhorns.  They can be sold as a combo. Probably spent around $100 on these cards.
