Bellmont birdies are singing

Java, remember we had a frosh QB with no experience (no real passing game). So it was run, run, and run some more back then.

And the 2 yd hitch. Damnit.
Oh, I remember!  However, they took two of our most valuable assets, and rather that using them wisely, misused them.  Thus limiting both of them for weeks, if not longer.  Unless Mack had a 'consultant' riding him, as he did during his most successful years, he failed in roster management.  He understood recruiting, but he did not understand growth and development, or much of anything else about athletes.  I am beginning to think that he was too self-absorbed to care about expanding his knowledge base.

If your insider information is correct, he knew nothing of handling assistant coaches, either.  It is mind-boggling that Mack would allow Princess Sally to sit in on a performance review of Muschamp.  Muschamp must have been furious.  He probably decided then and there that he was taking the first viable opportunity to move on.  What a crock!  A less intelligent man would have stormed our of the review, and demanded a review with the appropriate personnel present, but that would have been career suicide.  I have heard nothing, absolutely nothing, since Mack left to indicate that he was anything other than  a spoiled, petulant, weak person.

Strong's moves since he inherited the program have been on target.  Mack was a fool not to show up at any photo ops.  I think he was hoping that Strong would fail.  Instead, he is beginning to sense that Charlie is going to succeed, so now he claims that Charlie has called him 4 or 5 times.  Mack has never shown his face at a presser.  He has never made a public appearance with Strong.  He hasn't helped Charlie in any way.

My first thought when Mack said Charlie had called him 4 or 5 times?  I wonder if Mack ever called him back?  When Charlie succeeds, he will have done it on his merits.  Mack will try to take credit, but he will not even get a nod from me.

"Thanks, Mack, for 2004-2009.  You are right, it's Charlie's program now.  We are movin' on, and you should, too.  Oh, Sally is packed and ready with her red dress! "

Hook 'em, Charlie!

Dieselprime, I, too, really like this forum and I have defended it many times to people who have criticized it.  I also reserve the right to be critical.  In my profession, criticism is par for the course.  It is part of making things better.  I think that some of our posters do not get the concept.  I am also not sure that some of our forum's administration or some of their most trusted posters get it either, I am not saying all the administration, just some.  And not just all of the long time posters, just some. I guess we shall see.
this is not the f'ing New York Times nor are you HS' Managing Editor. just read what they write, and discuss to your heart's content, but save your criticism for those in your "profession" who are smart enough to realize its value and yours. I must be one who does not "get the concept."

I, for one, am glad to be here and am hoping that all the damn drama disappears soon, like yesterday.

Thanks for your input, JimR.  If you don't mind. I will post how I please.  Oh, wait!  You do mind!  On second thought, I will post however I please, anyway.  Funny thing about forums, there is this thing that is built in,  I think it is called dialog, discussion, give and take ... you get the picture.

It's intentionally done that way. With no staff attribution, it's harder to link back to the sources that share the information.

FYI, multiple staffers contributed.
This may (or may not) confirm my guess about why crossfire was eliminated. I suspect FOB's were being identified by their acquaintances as being the sources. People knew they were friends of McPhaul and put two and two together.

My guess is we will eventually get the same information but in a less identifiable mode.

Or I could be full of shit.

Uh, that was surgically removed. No more fancy for you. Don't you remember?
My fancy knows no bounds!

Not sure if they are one in the same but Gordon is definitely his first name.
Not me.  I know not of what you speak.  I did go to an SDS meeting once when I was an undergraduate in 1970.  I wanted to learn about valid differences in opinions about the war.  All they wanted to do was run a workshop about how to get in confrontations with the police in front of the TV cameras at the demonstration the next day.  It appeared that I was not going to learn much about valid differing opinions regarding the war, so I left.  I did not meet any Weathermen.that I knew of.  I do not think that there were any there.  The next night I went to the movies in the Union with some friends.  When we were coming out of the Union theater, the double doors to Guadalupe slammed open and a part of a riot that had erupted at the demonstration came surging past us replete with tear gas, demonstrators fighting the police and police whapping them up side their punkin heads.  As we stepped back into the theater to get out of the way, I noticed that In the middle of this melee was the young man and woman who had led the police confrontation workshop the night before.  One of them might have been a Weatherman, but I was not formally introduced to them, so I guess we will nelver know.
