Mack Brown on the Paul Finebaum Show

Good lord, finebaum is awful as a radio host. . .

Really hard to listen to .. . . .

Flack, I went into the wrong field. . .

BTW, fast forward to the 21:00 mark for Mack, up till then finebaum is just babbling. . . .

All Finebaum is good for is letting dumbass rednecks howl at the moon on his radio show.

Mack could have a shot at the Nebraska job if Pelini lays another egg.

come on jb, mack brown, is waaaay to old and crotchety... and waaaay to set in his way's.. to take upon the children of the corn.  now stop this!

Mack did well today on the ESPN set in South Bend.  Charismatic, likable....  Classic Mack.  Was there with Danny Kannell and Rece Davis,

I don't think they're ever going to fire Pelini. I checked he's been there for six years and has lost four games every year. A least he's consistent.

Pelini must have some pictures of someone or they may be afraid to fire him. I know I would.

I honestly don't understand how anyone who has kept up with the work Charles Strong has implemented to improve the Texas program since Mack Brown was fired could rationally think Mack Brown would ever be considered head coach material again.

Mack was washed up after 2009, it's time to move to the future and let Mack be someone else's problem be it in broadcasting or "coaching".

I always thought the Nebraska smoke screen was a figment of Joe Jamail's imagination. Wasn't he the one that floated that idea originally?

I agree with you, however I said the same thing about John Mackovic in 1997 when he was fired. I didn't think any college team would hire him as a head coach after going 4-7 at a place with the resources of Texas.

Well, I was wrong or should I say Arizona was wrong for hiring him.

With the ESPN exposure that Mack will be receiving, I can see where teams will be interested in hiring him after the season. I believe he will sell tickets and can improve some teams like Colorado. He didn't seem like he got coaching out of his system when he left here.

Indeed

That's what makes him perfect for the ass-backward Huskers and the old school, Rust Belt league.  Mutual desperation might bring these 2 together!  Has-been coach for a has-been program.  :P

Sally wants Mack back in coaching? Why?

If she (they) ae so hungry for the media attention, then working for ESPN

is the most natural, comfortable landing spot. Mack nailed the Urban Meyer

interview and for a wider Gameday audience, could step in for Corso later.

And for Nebraska, really?

Just a thought, but maybe she is tired of him tweeting in her living room?!?

An insider friend of mine said that the last performance review Will Muschamp went through, there were three people in the room. One of the three was Sally.

Did not go well at all.

It seems totally inappropriate from a Human Resources perspective.  Sally had no standing within the AD.  I would assume the other person was DeLoss, but if Sally was present, it could have been anyone.  I am surprised Will stayed.  I guess he decided to ride out the season, and take the first good opportunity that was available.

The man and woman who would be king and queen?
