Charlie Strong went 23-3 over his last two seasons AND produced a perfect APR. That is damned impressive on the field and off. I'm not expecting many people to ask a lot of questions or question his methods. At least not yet.

There is a certain group of parents of recruits who will find this extremely positive.

Not all of them, but the serious ones.

Which will be enough for us.

Like Putin waiting until the Winter Olympics were done before he took Crimea, Coach Strong waited until after B12 Media Days to make his purge.

One thing for sure is that Charlie wants a certain group of players. 

With all this old business being settled in one day, I am wondering if Charlie Strong is in Austin at a baptism, standing as its Godfather.

That was a little juice for our late night readers. Always read between the lines.

Thinking back, Bear Bryant did much the same when he came to A&M by going out to Junction for two a days. Strong couldn't get away with something like that these days, but what is happening will do much the same thing. He will end up having players that he can trust to play his kind of game. That will build a championship mentality.

I am more impressed by Coach Strong with every day.

I feel like I should hate all of this but I really like it. Weird. I hate that kids ruined their future but I'm thoroughly enjoying Strong restoring order.

He sure as hell isn't acting like any position coach I have ever seen, that is for sure.
