Texas landed a major addition to its 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star safety Toray Davis, who flipped from UCLA to the Longhorns.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound standout from Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado is rated the No. 5 player in Colorado and the No. 26 ATH nationally by 247Sports. Davis brings a rangy, long, and lean frame with the speed to cover ground quickly on the back end.
On film, he takes sharp, efficient angles to the football and arrives in run support with violent intentions. His ball skills stand out as well. Davis has a natural feel for making plays and consistently finds himself around the football.
A true two-way star, Davis is also a productive receiver with natural hands, an extended catch radius, and impressive run-after-catch ability. He adds value on special teams as a return threat, showing burst and acceleration in the open field.
Davis is a multi-sport athlete who also shines on the basketball court, averaging 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, and a block during his 2025 season.
While he could contribute on either side of the ball, Davis’ highest ceiling projects at safety, where Texas sees him as a potential impact player. With signing day approaching on Wednesday, the Longhorns secured a key piece in their 2026 class with the flip and commitment of Toray Davis.
