Tonight, at Gregory Gym No. 2 Texas Volleyball (6-0) will host No. 9 TCU making it the fifth Top-Ten ranked team the Longhorns have faced this season. Undefeated thus far, out of their 26 meetings Texas has lost only once to TCU in 2015. The Horned Frogs are 7-1 and have won their last seven matches, only losing their season opener to then #3 Pitt. They have since defeated four AVCA Top-25 teams including #5 Penn State and #8 Texas A&M.
The Longhorns are rolling off of a career-high for freshman, outside hitter Cari Spears with 18 kills hitting .382 against then #9 Arizona State on Sunday earning her SEC Player and Freshman of the Week. The accolades follow an impressive start for Texas with transfer Torrey Stafford leading the team with 95 kills, setter Ella Swindle who has returned to the starting position securing 185 assists and veteran libero Emma Halter 83 digs.
