The NCAA transfer portal officially opened on Monday for baseball, and the Longhorns saw 3 players announce their intentions to transfer. LHP Chance Covert II, OF Matt Scott II and OF Donovan Jordan will be leaving the program. All 3 just finished their freshman season, with Covert and Jordan taking redshirts. Scott appeared in 5 games and recorded 3 at-bats.
It is expected to be a very active first full offseason for Jim Schlossnagle and his staff as they navigate the portal, MLB Draft and pending house settlement case that could impact roster limits for next season.
